Opening day of the PHP 10 million guaranteed (~USD 192,000) MAIN EVENT was the hottest ticket today with 148 runners eager to contribute the PHP 55,000 (~USD 1,100) buy-in. This was the first starting day of the APT Philippines II 21019 featured event taking place at Resorts World Manila’s new Grand Wing.

At the end of the scheduled 9 levels of play, 62 players remained with only a few of the champs through to the next round. Closing the heat as chip leader was Korea’s Yonghyun Yoo with 152,600. Yoo is the player to measure up to for Day 1B players. Breathing down Yoo’s neck was Canada’s Arvhin Malinab with 147,000.
