APT India to Close Historic Year; Player of the Year to be Crowned

The Asian Poker Tour is set to close the year with another new addition to its calendar – APT India 2013. It is scheduled to be held from December 3rd to the 9th on board the Casino Carnival which is anchored on the Mandovi River in Goa, India.

This may not be the APT’s first time in India, as it has brought the Asian Series brand to Goa twice already, but it is the introduction of higher buy in tournaments which have been successful in the Philippines and Macau. The schedule consists of a INR 150,000 Main Event with seven satellites and another seven side events including the INR 25,000 FundooPoker Freezeout on December 7th at 6pm. Another highlight of the event would be the crowning of the APT Player of the Year 2012. Currently leading the race is Samad Razavi who shot to the top after a very impressive showing at the recently concluded APT Asian Series Cambodia 2012 wherein he final tabled several events including the Main Event and won the opening and charity tournaments.

The APT Player of the Year will receive US$ 8,000 worth of buy ins at any APT event of his/her choice. First and second runners up will receive One (1) APT Main Event seat (value up to US$ 2,700) and One (1) APT Asian Series Main Event seat (value up to US$ 1,100) respectively.
