We have reached the final day of APT Finale Taiwan 2019! Last night awarded one winner with Chen Chi Jen lifting his second trophy of the the series. We’ve got the results below. The Monster Stack event wrapped up with 27 remaining and the High Rollers with 5 players (bubble round). Those two events will resume today at 1pm and will run alongside the final day of the Championships Event which starts at 130pm.
Championships Event info
The Championships Event is the second featured event of the tour and today is the day we crown the champion! The event drew 159 entries at NT$ 49,500 each for a pot of NT$ 6,940,300. Returning to battle are the final 8 players, all hunting down the very cool NT$ 1,848,800 (~US$ 60,700).
The Final 8 race will stream live on APT Twitch and APT YouTube on a 30-45 minute delay therefore no live updates.

Chen Chi Jen wins second title at the Deep Stack Turbo
63 jumped in the evening Deep Stack Turbo at NT$ 5,500 each. They battled for a piece of the NT$ 305,500 prize pool with only 11 paid. During the bubble round, Ross Wen quintupled up with 4♣ 9♦ two pair on a board 7♣ 5♣ 9♥ 3♦ 3♣ that none of the four callers could beat. He went on to 8th place. Alex Er delivered the bubble with Q♣ Q♦ holding against a player’s A♥ 10♦ then fell immediately after in 11th place.
From there, fast action continued and soon Chen Chi Jen knocked out Chou Chun An in 3rd place with Q-J spiking a queen to overtake K-9. Chen faced Wei Bo Ye for the title. Ahead in chips, he shoved at every button position. The final hand arrived with Chen K♥ J♥, Wei Q♥ 7♦, both missed the board. Congratulations to Chen for his second victory!
