Manila, September 19, 2019 – The Asian Poker Tour (APT) and Resorts World Manila (RWM) have signed a new exclusive agreement to ensure that at least two major APT events a year continue at RWM until the end of 2021.

This year marks the tenth year of the APT-RWM partnership in the Philippines which has seen the staging of 24 international poker events and festivals to date; including the APT-RWM Iron Man Poker Challenge held in 2013. This internationally recognized event still holds the Guinness World Record for the longest ever, continuous running poker tournament: 48 hours – 55 minutes – 58 seconds.

Year-on-year, the APT events held at Resorts World Manila have attracted more players from around the World:  APT Philippines 2019, currently running – 11th-22nd September 2019 – has set a new record for its Main Event having attracted 515 player entries giving a PHP 24,977,500 prize pool. The over-all prize pool guarantee for the entire 12-day, 23-event poker festival has now been surpassed by the Main Event alone.

With the APT and RWM’s partnership renewal, poker players can continue to look forward to high-caliber, international poker tournaments in the Philippines. 2020 dates are already confirmed: April 27 – May 10 and September 10 – 21, 2019.
