APT 2022 Philippines blasts off at Newport World Resorts

PASAY CITY, Philippines – The first of a busy 24-event slate of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2022 Philippines is now underway as the PhP15,000.00 (US$264.00) Mystery Bounty (Event #1) has commenced  at the Grand Wing Casino, Newport World Resorts here.

Action intensifies in Event #1 – the Mystery Bounty

This initial event is divided into two flights, the second of which takes off at 4:00PM (UCT+8) and will be followed by the first of four satellites for the Main Event happening at 6:00PM.

The Mystery Bounty is an interesting kick-off event in the sense that the real drama unfolds once the remaining players reach ITM and it will only be then that the Bounty process begins with those that eliminate a player drawing an envelope revealing the Bounty received. Since the envelopes drawn will have varying values, it becomes the thrilling portion to know how much the busted player costs. 

This is a two-day event with the finale played out tomorrow and carries a guaranteed prize pool of PHP2M (US$35,120.00).

Newly signed APT President Neil Johnson is at the competition floor observing the slowly growing number of entrants as this thirteen day celebration of poker with over PhP29M (approximately US$510,000.00) in guarantees awaiting the participants.
