APT and CTP Set to Run Multiple Live Events in 2021

The Asian Poker Tour (APT) and the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP) are set to run multiple live events in the upcoming APT Taiwan 2021.

APT Taiwan 2021 will open up with a Mini Main Event on the weekend of February 19 to 21 in Taichung, home of the second largest branch of CTP. They will also support the APT Taiwan Main Event by hosting the Day 1A on February 26.

Straight after, the action will move to the vibrant city of Taipei where APT held its first Taiwan event back in 2019. This marks the 6th event of APT and CTP as partners. The schedule in Taipei will run from February 27 to March 8, and beside the Main Event, CTP Taipei will also host the prestigious Championships Event along with various side events created for all types of bankrolls.

The action does not stop there! The weekend after the APT Championships title has been claimed, the action will move back to CTP Taichung, March 12 to 15 hosting a Special APT Event. The event will have a deep great structure featuring 40-minute starting days and 60-minute levels starting Day 2 all the way up until a Champion has been crowned.

Main Event buy-in and Championships Event buy-in are scheduled to be NTD 33,000 and NTD 49,500 respectively. However, if travel restrictions are still in place closer to the event, buy-ins for both, along with some side events, will be reduced to as low as 40% of the original amount to cater the local market.

“APT is also one of my favorite international tournaments. We are very happy and honored to have APT Taiwan but unfortunately, there are travel restrictions and lag of foreign players due to the COVID situation. Hopefully, the restriction can be open sooner in the future so we can have foreign players as well,” said CTP CEO David Tai.
