Day 3 of APT Kick-Off Vietnam opened with the star of the festival, the VND 8 billion guaranteed MAIN EVENT. 80 runners took advantage of the discounted VND 21,00,000 buy-in. Among the 35 survivors were APT decorated champions Iori Yogo, Soo Jo Kim, Linh Tran, and reigning tour champion China’s Zhou Yueyang. Zhou had a rough day, needing two bullets to secure a Day 2 seat. He bagged up the shortest stack of 12,400.
On the other end of the pole was Zhou’s fellow countryman, Bin Zhang, wrapping up the day with 133,600. One of the final hands called saw Zhang spike a set of fives on the river to claim a decent pot.
The survivors have a two-day break before returning on Wednesday, January 15. For short stacks, you can attempt for multiple stacks however only your best stack advances. For those that missed the mark today or have yet to join the action, there are two starting days left.

Day 1C: Tuesday, January 14 at 1pm

APT – Pro Poker Club Promo – Freeroll Flipout winners
The APT – Pro Poker Club Promo awarded three lucky players with a nice wad all for free. These players were part of a freerool flipout eligible only for Main Event Day 1A registrants.
Fifteen minutes before cards were in the air was the first flipout at 1245pm. Scooping up the big kahuna US$ 2,000 top prize was Iwata Yosuke from Japan.
The second flipout was at 3pm. Singapore’s Benjamin Song Junde won US$ 1,000.
And the third lucky flipout winner was APT regular Seitaro Aso from Japan. He won US$ 1,000.
The next freeroll flipout with also US$ 4,000 to be given away will take place at Day 1A of the Championships Event on January 18 starting at 1245pm.
