When the doors opened yesterday at the inaugural APT Cambodia, it was clear that there was a highly competitive atmosphere in the tournament area which is likely to heighten even further as the event week progresses. Liam Anderson ranked 1st in the APT Player of the year awards (POY), was joined at the opening side event of the week by Sam Razavi (ranked 2nd); Martin Nilsson (3rd); Marc Rivera (4th) and Tetsuya Tsuchikawa (5th).

And at the end of Day 1 it was Sam Razavi who catapulted himself into the POY lead moving ahead of Anderson, with an impressive performance, gaining an additional 190 points, by taking-down Event 1- ‘Welcome to APT’ and a 2nd place finish in the Charity event.
