Latest Side Event winners

Last night the casino floor was brimming with heated poker action with four events running alongside the Final 8 of the Main Event. We have those results for you below. Full payouts found here.

Eric Tsai wins the CoinPoker High Rollers

Eric Tsai – CoinPoker High Rollers winner

The two-day CoinPoker High Rollers event had 57 players each one ponying up the ₩2,150,000 buyin for a prize pool of ₩110,580,000. 20 players returned on the final day with only half of them guaranteed a payout. The bubble burst with Hiroshima Nishiyama falling in 11th place.

Seat 2: Hiroshi Nishiyama bubbles

Once the money flowed, it was a race to the ₩32,229,000 first prize. By three-handed, Eric Tsai Ting Yi and Inotsume Kazuma battled for the chip lead. Tsai edged ahead when he railed Hideaki Miyamoto in 3rd place. The final hand saw Tsai with 9 9 and Kazuma with A Q. The board bricked and with slightly more chips, Tsai shipped it, winning his first-ever APT title.

Kevin Clark wins the CoinPoker Single Day High Rollers

After finishing 4th at the CoinPoker High Rollers event, New Zealand’s Kevin Clark jumped in the CoinPoker Single Day High Rollers event and sailed on to victory. For his impressive win, he earned the ₩28,904,000 first place purse and the event trophy.

Kevin Clark – Single Day High Roller winner

Catching the action at three-handed, the round was one of the longest with no one giving an inch. Due to the blinds increasing every 25 minutes, this helped speed up the action as the ante big blind started creating a dent in stacks. Ken Okada fell in 3rd place with A K unable to improve against Clark’s J J. Heads up came with Clark up 7:1 in chips against Hiroshi Nishiyama.

Like Clark, Nishiyama also came from the earlier High Rollers event where he bubbled. He made up for it in this event, delivering the bubble in Jia Tang with A A over K K

Heads up

At heads up, Nishiyama doubled up with J 7 spiking a jack on the board to survive against Clark’s K 2 however, it didn’t last. Nishiyama was eliminated in 2nd place with J 5 falling to Clark’s J J on a final board of A Q 3 9 Q.

Bubble bursts

Fijima was crippled down during the bubble round after Keith Ong doubled up with A J that  improved to a flush on the river to overtake Fijima’s K K set on a board of K Q 9 4 A. Fijima held on to reach the money round and finished in 10th place. Ong bowed out in 9th and the game paused for an overnight break.
