Day 1a begins today! Get Protected from the Bubble!

Good morning Cebu! It is going to be an exciting day as it begins Day 1a of the Asian Poker Tour Cebu 2016 Main Event. Entry fee is P55,000 and cards will be in the air at 1pm with late registration / re-entry available just before the start of round 7. We are happy to introduce to APT Cebu a couple of APT’s newest treats for the Main Event, namely, the addition of a Main Event Bubble Protection, and the awarding of an APT Championship Ring to the eventual winner.

The Main Event Bubble Protection is one of the newest elements APT put into effect at the start of the year. This exciting incentive is something you will not want to miss out on. The APT will award the player who bubbles a free seat to the next APT Main Event (of the same value) so long as that player has met all the requirements needed to avail of this incentive. Here are the three simple steps to qualify for the Main Event Bubble Protection:

1. Pre-register for the Main Event
2. Draw for your seat before starting time
3. Have your chips put into play on the first deal of round number 1

For re-entry players, if you have already met the qualifications for Main Event Bubble Protection, you will maintain that status only on a same day re-entry. For re-entry players wanting Main Event Bubble Protection on a next day re-entry, you will have to repeat the steps above.

The next big thing the APT has added at the start of the year is the APT Championship Ring. The APT has already awarded two players this gorgeous band, Thailand’s Thong Botho (winner of the APT Kickoff 2016) and Japan’s Iori Yogo (winner of the Okinawa Poker Cup).

Other Events Today:

At 1pm, the Head Hunter will resume with the final 8 players. Then at 3pm, the Open Face Chinese Pineapple Shootout 36 Max will take place. This has a P16,500 buy-in fee. And at 6pm, for those still in need of a Main Event seat, there is a Last Chance Main Event Mega Satellite with a P5,500 entry fee.
