INCHEON CITY, Korea – With Flight B bringing in an additional 113 entries, (Event #1) the Mystery Bounty now has a total prize pool of KRW153,648,000 (US$107,850) with KRW52.8M (US$37,062) in bounties up for grabs with the champion getting over KRW24M (US$16,872) as the opener of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Korea Incheon 2022 now moves into its finale at the Paradise City Hotel and Casino here.
The new total prize pool more than doubled the original guarantee making this opening salvo a good indicator of how the festivities will commence until 26th October.
From the 264 total entries, only 62 advanced to the last day of competition where three Mystery Bounties worth KRW9,320,000.00 (US$6,543.00) now the target of those who make it to the top 27 and get guaranteed at least KRW838K (US$589.00).
Only then will those remaining be eligible to draw for sealed envelopes for every person they bust out and have the opportunity to get at least KRW420K (US$295.00) more per elimination executed.
Leading the last 62 combatants is Japan’s Marie Kabaki who has campaigned extensively in the United States and has three WSOP cashes. She carries 283,000 in chips into the finale while fellow Japanese player Motoyoshi Okamura is currently in second with 264,000. Meerwais Hussani of Australia is third with 221,000.
The Mystery Bounty resumes later (19th October) at 1:00PM (UCT+9).
Two two-day tiffs will also take place later in (Event #2) the KRW4.3M (US$3,017) High-Rollers and (Event #3) the KRW550K (US$386) NLH.
