The final day kicked off with the last 8 players back at the felt from an overnight break. Leading in chips was Chung Chuen Co courtesy of a huge double up through Huo Dong on the previous day. Dong attempted to outplay Co with K-6, three betting him preflop then shoving with bottom pair on the flop, but instead, he found himself trapped by Co’s A-A. This resulted in Dong becoming the first player to tumble at the final table.

Dong was followed by Lee Kyungmin (7th), Jairath’s first victim of the day. Kyungmin moved all in with 6-5 on a flop of 6-9-7 and couldn’t push out Jairath who had J-J that held. The next two fallouts were Wong Keng Po (6th) eliminated by Hung Sheng Lin with A-A over 9-9; and Jian Zhang (5th) downed by Stephen San Hon Pang with 6-6 surviving the heat against Zhang’s K-Q overcards. This cut the field in half with Lin impressively on his third appearance.

After several orbits, Jairath went head on against Lin with both players all in on a flop of 10 9 A. Jairath was ahead with 10 7 and Lin with 9 2. The turn 6 and river 10 completed the board and Lin was bumped out in 4th place.

With three remaining, Pang went on an all in spree. He shoved five times before someone finally took on the challenge. This earned him a double up through Jairath with K-10 landing a straight against A-7 on a board of J-Q-3-7-9. Jairath was able to recover some of the lost chips then eventually stopped Pang in 3rd place with 7 7 victorious over A 4.

The heads up match kicked off with Jairath close to a 2:1 chip advantage against Co. Despite their stacks quite healthy compared to the blinds, in just two hands, it was over. Both players were all in on a flop of J Q 4; Co had Q 2, Jairath with A Q, and with the turn J and river 8 Jairath had the higher spread and became the APT’s year-end top bounty hunter.
