Chang Gon Lee wins the NLH Single Day

Chang Gon Lee

Late last night, Korea’s Chang Gon Lee overcame a deficit at heads up against Charles Lesmana to seize the NLH Single Day event and pocket the VND 163,670,000 first prize along with the event trophy. There were 146 entries for this event with 25 places paid. The final 8 players were moved to the RFID feature table which means, you can watch and relive the action in APT Twitch and APT YouTube.

Final 8 of the NLH Single Day

For a brief recap of the action, Lesmana held a commanding chip lead entering heads up after he knocked out Kim Hae Seung (5th), Nguyen Heu Ha (4th), and Le Hoai Nam (3rd). He seemed to be on the road to victory when he was all in at heads up with 9 5 on a board of Q 7 9 against Lee’s J 7. The board however had other plans as the turn felted J for two pair to Lee, and the  8 river secured the double up.

Not long after, the final hand came. Lesmana shoved with 7-6 and Lee called wit Q-10. The board ran 5-A-7-10-2 for a higher pair to Lee to eliminate and capture the win.
