Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2013

Bobby Zhang also out (15th – $7,700)

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000/6000 Ante: 1000

Bobby Zhang from Australia is eliminated as well. He gets $7,700 for his deep run in this Main Event.

2012 APT POY Razavi is eliminated (16th – $6,500)

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000/6000 Ante: 1000

Working on a short stack all day, Sam Razavi finally fell to the axe courtesy of Nam Le.

We did not get anything from the action or the specific hand but we know that Le had 10 10 and Razavi had J Q.

No overcard on a dry board for Razavi and our 2012 Asian Poker Tour Player of the Year is eliminated from this Main Event.

Westmorland gets the boot (17th – $6,500)

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000/6000 Ante: 1000

After preflop raise and rereaises we saw Jordan Westmorland and Miller Zhang indulge in a big all-in battle:

Westmorland was ahead with 6 6 against Zhang’s 4 4.

Flop immediately changed that however when A 4 A was boarded. Drawing thin, Westmorland couldn’t find the lease on life on turn Q and river 7 and he busts out of the tournament guys.

Showing no disappointment at all and showing the mark of a true sportsman, Westmorland shakes the hand of the guys nearest to him– including his nemesis on this hand, Zhang.

Level 19

Level: 19 Blinds: 3000/6000 Ante: 1000

3000/6000 blinds with ante now at 1000!

Gaw takes 2 straight off Le

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500/5000 Ante: 500

Looks like Andrew Gaw is targeting that big stack of Nam Le.

First he scares of Le on a turn bet of around 20,000 with a board of 8 3 8 6.

Next hand, Gaw river-bets 14,500 on a board of 4 8 6 2 K, to which Le called. With the pair of victories, Gaw rises to around 330,000. Le though has still the most chips with still over 550,000.

Saquin eliminated by 9-quads (18th – $6,600)

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500/5000 Ante: 500

Just before the re-draw for the final tables a big hand put Moses Saquin in a world of hurt.

Saquin was all-in with just A 8 on a flop of J J 6 and was against Khac Trung Tran’s 9 9. The turn 9 and river 9 just added insult to injury and Moses Saquin, Day 1B chip leader is out of the main event.

After eliminating Saquin, Tran has now over 300,000 in chips.

More busts (20th and 19th – $5,500)

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500/5000 Ante: 500

2 more players get busted as we now re-draw for 2 tables.

Riyadh Fawaz is out at 20th place and Ikeda Tatsuya is eliminated at 19th place. Both players will reeir ceive $5,500 for their efforts.

Pocket 10 woes for Woo (21st – $5,500)

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500/5000 Ante: 500

Cho Young Woo had his tournament life at risk after moving all in with 10 10 on a board of Q 9 4.

The good news is that the Daniel Kelly, the guy who called him had A K.

Bliss would turn into disappointment however when the turn K arrived. River 2 did not change anything and another one bites the dust.

Zhang doubles-up

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500/5000 Ante: 500

Khac Trung Tran: A Q
Bobby Zhang: A K

Zhang was the one at risk in this pre-flop all in.

Flop: 5 10 9
Turn: 9
River: 7

And Zhang doubles up to around 135,000.
