Asian Poker Tour Philippines 2013

SJ Kim still at it

Level: 12 Blinds: 600/1200 Ante: 200

Looks like SJ Kim is not giving up yet despite sitting on a short stack for four hours now.

He just won a preflop raising war against an opponent and bumps his chip total to roughly 33,500.

Neil Arce also out

Level: 12 Blinds: 600/1200 Ante: 200

Apologies for no details for the former APT champ’s bust-out hand. Action was too quick even for us speedy live reporters.

De Guzman is out of ME, tweets about it

Level: 12 Blinds: 600/1200 Ante: 200

First, the Live Reporting team would like to thank Mr. Vic de Guzman for making our life easier as he tweeted about his bust-out hand in Day 2 of the Main Event:

If every player would just tweet about their hands or bust-out hands, we wouldn’t be running around the room so much.

Yosuke busts Illescas

Level: 12 Blinds: 600/1200 Ante: 200

Jose Carlos Illescas APT main event run has ended.

With a stack just below 10 big blinds, Illescas shoved with K Q and found two callers in Sekiya Yosuke, who had J J and JC Tran, who had A K.

The board was a dry one for all: 6 8 8 10 6 which means the BODOG-sponsored player get the boot, Tran’s stack gets cut down to below 40,000 and Yosuke climbs to around 77,000.

Raloto triples-up via set of jacks

Level: 12 Blinds: 600/1200 Ante: 200

We heard quite a celebration from across the room from one of the two ladies still playing today.

Giselle Raloto apparently hit his set holding pocket jacks and was against Nam Le’s big slick and another player who had the bullets.

The flop was 5 3 8 and the “YES!” from Ms. Raloto most likely would have come from the turn J. River 4 was not an ace and he triples up to around 45,000. Le’s stack is down to around 120,000.

Actually… Just a 5-min break for two…

Level: 11 Blinds: 500/1000 Ante: 100

With all the other 59 players already on their break, two players– Andrew Gaw and an opponent decided to spend half the time of the 10-minuter still at the tables all because of a long raising war preflop and postflop.

Flop: 8 K 6

Finally, Gaw’s opponent gave in after a hefty raise… Gaw takes down the pot and has around 135,000.

10-minute break

Level: 11 Blinds: 500/1000 Ante: 100

We’re in our second 10-mimute break of the day. Big board says we have 65 players still in from the 101 who started in Day 2.

Huge pot for Hachem

Level: 11 Blinds: 500/1000 Ante: 100

Flop 8 9 2 already boarded we saw a player from UTG bet 3,000. Joe Hachem responded with a raise to 9,200. The UTG player made the call.

Turn was A and the fireworks continued. Hachem was the first to bet 18,300, which the UTG player called. River was 3 and explosions are coming: Hachem leads out a huge 22,000 bet and UTG player once again called.

Hachem shows 2 2 for the set and he takes down the big pot and his stack rises to around 145,000.

Allado gets the boot

Level: 11 Blinds: 500/1000 Ante: 100

Short stacked starting Day 2 and for 3 levels, Atty. Jojo Allado couldn’t find any good spots to increase his haul. We did not see the losing hand but he is now out of the tournament.
