Truong making move

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

After that big double-up off Sekiya Yosuke, it looks like Thang Truong is on a roll now.

Consecutive times he stole the blinds and antes and another re-raising chip leader Khac Tran.

Truong is now up to 1.6M, Tran down to 2M and Yosuke down to 500K.

Good news, bad news for Yosuke

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

After a series of raises preflop we saw Thang Truong and Sekiya Yosuke both all-in.

The good news for Yosuke was that he covered Truong’s stack.

The bad news for Yosuke was that Truong’s Q K was way ahead of his Q 10

Flop: 5 5 8
Turn: 7
River 4

And this time it’s Truong’s Australian supporters who gets to celebrate.

Truong has now around 1.4 million while the Japanese drops to 600,000.

Yosuke gets another from Tran

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

Small wins for now but if this goes on this will take its toll on the big stack, Khac Tran.

On a board of 7 A A Yosuke bet 60,000 and was called by Tran. Turn K and Yosuke just checks. Tran leads out with 100,000 this time. Yosuke made the call to bring the river in 5. Both players checked their option, Yosuke shows Q 7 while Tran mucked his hand.

Yosuke wins the pot much to the joy of the Japanese railers cheering on his left.

Yosuke presses on

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

Button player Tran raises to 60,000 and bigblind Yosuke made the call.

Both players check the flop 9 2 7 and turn 8.

On the river {2d), Yosuke fired 55,000— enough to force the fold from Tran.

Yosuke has around 850,000 now.

Tran’s domination continues

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

Tran has well over 2.5M in chips while the two other contenders have just 800,000 or under.

With consistent aggression like below, those figures above are not a surprise:

Flop K 8 Q and Yosuke check-calls 60,000 bet of Tran.
On the turn however, Yosuke check-folded to Tran’s 100,000 bet.

The big man with the big stack playing his game.

Top 3 chip counts update (Tran dominates!)

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

Khac Trung Tran – 2,690,000
Sekiya Yosuke – 795,000
Thang Truong – 640,000

Le caught bluffing, out of ME (4th – $34,800)

Level: 26 Blinds: 15000/30000 Ante: 5000

Nam Le had all of his chips (roughly a million or so) in the middle for what was a bluff. Unfortunate for him the chip leader Khac Tran was willing to go to war with his big slick.

Le: 8 K
Tran: A K

Flop K J 2, turn 7 and river J and just like that the PokerAce ambassador is out of the main event at 4th place. He goes home with $34,800.

Rough chip counts

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000/24000 Ante: 4000

Khac Trung Tran – 1,690,000
Nam Le – 1,090,000
Sekiya Yosuke – 705,000
Thang Truong – 640,000

Truong stays in contention

Level: 25 Blinds: 12000/24000 Ante: 4000

Button player raised to 50,000 and Thang Truong shoved from the small blind for his final 260K.

The man from the button is big stack Khac Tran, he called and we have a showdown.

Truong: 9 9
Tran: A 9

Flop 10 Q 9 says Truong can extend his stay in this ME. Turn A and river Q confirmed that.

Truong breaks 600,000 chip mark cutting down (a bit, we emphasize) Tran’s stack to around 1.6M.
