After being crippled by Michael Cua in a previous hand, Norbert Koh had no choice but to move all in. He was up against Nam Le’s K♦ Q♠ after shoving with A♦ 9♥.
Flop J♣ K♠ 7♣, turn 3♦ and river 9♠ and that officially ended Norbert’s main event run.
Norbert Koh is not yet out of the tournament but with just below 1,000 or so it looks like the end is inevitable for him.
He got involved in a pre-flop all-in battle with Michael Cua, the main event champion in 2010.

Koh: A♣ Q♣
Flop turn and river did not provide the overcard Koh was looking for and he gets crippled big-time. Cua now has around 45,000 to stay in contention.
Sekiya Yosuke had the bullets but had a real scary board that he did not earn much from it.
The board already showed 4♠ 10♣ 5♣ 8♣ and a player bet 3,900, which Yosuke flat-called. Another card with clubs came on the river, the opponent checked to him and Yosuke, thinking it was a trap, just checked as well.
Player showed no clubs and Yosuke took down the nice pot. He now has over 140,000 in chips.
We did not catch the entire action in this hand but what we do know is that Tam Truong got lucky on this one. (Because the entire table was talking about a “bad beat”)
With a real red board of J♦ 7♥ Q♦ J♥ 5♦ we knew that Truong hit his flush with 9♦ 10♦ as his hand. His opponent mucked his hand dropped to near-death levels even as Truong climbs to roughly 75,000.
With 6♣ 6♥, JC Tran decided it was time to go home or double-up.
He found a caller from the middle position player who held the big slick.
No ace/king on flop Q♣ Q♦ 3♦, turn 3♣ and river 10♥ which means the PokerAce ambassador survives and doubles up to around 42,000.
Bawoo Hyunshik Yun from the button opened the action at 3,200 and saw a re-raise to 8,500 from the big blind, Stephen Chidwick. Yun made the call.
Chidwick led out postflop 8♣ 7♣ 8♥ with 6,500 and this time it was Yun who made the raise to 15,500. Chidwick, who had the larger stack, pressed the action and re-raised to 50,000. Yun insta-called and showed A♠ A♦. He was ahead of Chidwick’s A♥ Q♦ and just needed to avoid runner-runner queen.
No ladies came indeed and Yun gets to over 80,000 after this hand. Chidwick has still a relatively larger stack though with over 100,000 after this hand.
Unfortunate for one and best-case scenario for Mike Kim. Two players were all-in preflop and a showdown was on: Kim had J♠ J♦ and was trailing his opponent’s Q♥ Q♦ with the latter at risk.
Flop 10♣ 3♥ 10♣was safe for Kim’s opponent and so was the turn 3♣.
However, the river J♥ came much to the dismay of Kim’s opponent who joins our bust-out list. Aptly, the player who got busted by a jack on the river left his jacket in his seat (and it’s still unclaimed). After that bad beat, we understand if he’s feeling a bit hazy from that hit.
Kim climbs to over 72,000 after this win.
A middle position player opened the action at 2,500 but saw the button (Han Dong Bin) re-raise shove his final 19,000… MP player folded and Dong Bin gets to over 27,500 after this hand.
