Postflop 4♠ 7♦ 9♠ Nam Le tried to scare off Daniel Kelly by betting a huge one that covered his opponent. Kelly with just a hundred behind decided to call and was on showdown for his tournament life.

Kelly’s in good hands with his big chick but needed to avoid a king or eight to survive. No king or eight on the turn J♣ but it did give Le additional outs. And again, no king or eight on the river but indeed it was one of the additional outs when the dealer tabled 10♥ completing Le’s runner-runner straight!
Le jumps over the field now with over 660,000 while Kelly’s tournament is done. The latter goes home with $9,400.
Nam Le has around 530,000 in chips and from the looks of things he’s got the chip lead with 12 players left in the Main Event.

Holding A♣ 9♣ he was up against Homan Houshiar’s A♦ 10♣ on a board of 7♣ K♦ 5♦ Q♦ K♣. Too bad for Chidwick who was consistently on top of the chip counts for most of this tournament. He goes home with $7,700 for his 13th place finish.
Looks like we have a new player, Khac Trung Tran with over 400,000 in chips.
How did Tran get there?
Board already showed Q♥ 5♣ 9♥ 2♣ 2♦ and then the raising action happened. First was a bet of Tran to 14,000. Daniel Kelly adds 23,000 more for the raise. Tran responds with a re-raise of 30,000 more! No problem says Kelly who shoved three-bet all of his stack! Tran made the call…
Kelly’s J♥ 10♥ was a busted draw and was behind Tran’s Q♣ 10♦ for what was the top pair. Tran becomes one of the players with a huge stack while Kelly drops to around 130,000.
Short stacks have no choice but to move all-in or fold. Michael Kim, one of the them short-stacked players, decided it was time to shove with his Q♣ 10♣
Too bad for him as Sekiya Yosuke had a legit hand with Q♦ Q♥ and called Kim’s all-in.
The community cards provided no hope for Kim and he busts out at 14th place good for $7,700.
Andrew Gaw bet 12,000 to open the action preflop and found one caller in Khac Trung Tran.

After a Tran check, Gaw bet another 12,000 but saw a re-raise from Tran who doubled the bet. Gaw made the call.
Turn: 10♣
This time Tran led the action opening with 30,000. Gaw made the call.
River: 6♣
Tran checks, Gaw fires 40,000… And Tran made the call.
Gaw shows 8♦ 8♣ which was good enough against Tran’s mucked cards.
On a board of A♣ 5♥ 4♦ K♦, Thang Truong bet 16,000 but was called by Miller Zhang from across the table. When the river Q♠ arrived, Thang fires yet another, this time to 24,000. Zhang considered it for a little bit then eventually made the cool call.
Thang immediately mucks his hand and Miller Zhang wins the pot with the cards not being shown. Zhang has now over 330,000 in chips.
