Quang Nguyen raised to 80k from cutoff, button called, sb Oliver Helm three-bet to 330k, only Quang called. The flop landed 10 A Q, Helm c-bet 250k, Quang called. On the 4 turn, both players checked. The river 9, Helm checked, Quang fired 625k, Helm folded.

The last APT decorated champion remaining has fallen. Kannapong Thanarattrakul, winner of APT Tokyo Japan progressively lost his chips and decided to place his last 5 bbs in holding 10 J on the big blind. This wasn’t good enough though. Oliver Helm had K 8. The board ran 3 9 8 A 6 to end his run in 10th place for VND 164,250,000.

Guan Tian Liang just missed the unofficial final table. He was bumped out in 11th place by Oliver Helm. Helm raised to 55k preflop, Guan shoved from the small blind. Helm tank-called.

Nam Duong earns a good pot

Lojack Zhou Jiu Ping raised to 56k, button Nam Duong three-bet to 130k, Zhou called. At the flop 3 Q 7, both checked. On the turn 4, Zhou led for 100k, called by Nam Duong. The river 6 it was back to checking. Zhou had 9 9, the pot went to Nam Duong with 10 10.


Terry Nguyen sends Manoj Pentakota packing in 12th place – VND 136,860,000

Manoj Pentakota was once the overwhelming chip leader but couldn’t bring it to the final table. After his stack took a hit from Quang Nguyen, he continued to drop until he fell in 12th place to Terry Nguyen.

It took to consecutive hands to eliminate Pentakota. The first was a raise by Nguyen to 55k, Pentakota shoved, Nguyen called with slightly less chips. Pentakota held Q 9, Nguyen with 10 10. The board ran 7 7 2 10 6 for a full house to Nguyen. He shipped a double up to 1.1M, Pentakota plummeted to 57k.

Pentakota was all in on the next hand and those chips too went to Nguyen. Pentakota earned VND 136,860,000 for his deep finish. Nguyen rose to 1.2M.

Tso Wei entered the day as one of the chip leaders and performed strong throughout however his hunt for the title fell short in 13th place. His final hand saw Tso Wei all in preflop and Duy Khanh making the call. Tso Wei 10 A, Duy Khanh K Q, the board dropped a king 3 K 5 9 8. Tso Wei earned VND 114,060,000. Duy Khanh up to 700k.

David Erquiaga, the lone player from the Philippines advancing to Day 3 has tumbled out in 14th place. Crippling him was Oliver Helm. The hand began with a 75k raise by Guan Tian Liang, sb Helm and bb Erquiaga called. On the flop Q 5 4, all checked.
