On the river 7♥, action was the same with Tran check-calling a much larger 202k shove. Tran opened A♣ Q♣ straight but it was no good against Pentakota’s A♦ 9♦ nut flush. Tran down to 200k.
Kajornnut Prirungrueng and Harry Duong stared down a turn board 8♦ 4♦ 3♥ A♦ with a 60k pot in the middle. Kajornnut bet 12k, Duong raised to 32k, called by Kajornnut. On the river 5♠, Kajornnut fired 60k, Duong called. Kajornnut opened K♦ 9♦ nut flush, Duong mucked. Kajornnut up to 380k, Duong dropped to 200k.
We missed the hand that did it but Le Long Stephane sent Timothy Goh packing. Stephane now haw 580k.
Hwang Seong il raised to 13k, Chan Wei Hong called. On the flo 7♦ Q♣ 4♣, Hwang c-bet 25k, called by Chan. The turn 2♦, another 40k from Hwang but this time he faced a shove from Chan for 122k total. Hwang tanked then folded.

Players at table 5 were shocked to see the turnout of this hand with no bets on the river. The pot was raised to 90k preflop and the cards came 10♦ 10♣ 9♣. Three players were in but when Fan Chi Fu bet 26k, only sb Hwang Seong Il called. On the turn K♠ and river Q♠, no more bets landed. Hwang showed Q♥ J♦ straight while Fan showed 9? 9♠ full house.

After the bubble bursts we usually see a flurry of dropouts with short stacks happy to have made the money. However that is not the case here. Instead, only three have fallen and a couple have doubled up.
One player getting a boost was Tobias Napel off chip leader Tso Wei. The shove was on the flop 4♠ K♦ 8♦. Tso Wei had K♠ J♠, Napel with A♦ Q♦, the turn K♥ tripped up Tso but the river 9♦ improved Napel to a winning flush. Napel up to 335k. Tso dipped to 440k.
We also caught Chan Wei Hong land a double off David Tai. Chan’s pocket fours improved to quads to overtake Tai’s pocket nines.
