Kit Kwan Kwok wins the war then loses to Son Putin

Kit Kwan Kwok has been involved in some heated pots. On one hand, he raised to 33k, Nguyen Tuan Anh called, Minh Le three-bet to 116k, Kit jammed all in for over 1M and won the pot with no callers.

Immediately after, he was up against Son Putin with a raised pot brewed preflop and a flop showing 2 K 5. Putin checked, Kit bet 55k, and Putin flat-called. On the 3 turn, action was the same with Kit firing an 85k bet that Putin called. Then on the 9 river, Putin checked, Kit eventually checked back, and Putin won it with 3 6 pair. Putin shipped in a huge pot to send his stack over 800K.


Thong Trinh vs Quang Phung

Action kicked off with Cao Ngoc Anh raising to 35k, called by cutoff Thong Trinh and bb Quang Phung. At the flop J J 8, Thong bet 45k, Quang check-raised to 100k, and Cao check-folded. On the 3 turn, both checked. The river Q saw Quang check again, Thong bet 200k, Quang tank, then Thong won it after Quang was timed-out. Thong showed his J trips.


Gao Li Chao eliminated in 18th – VND 78,590.000

The last remaining female, Nguyen Thi Hien Hoa, has just departed the Championships Event. Nguuyen moved all in with her short stack and got called by both blinds, Cao Ngoc Anh and Quang Phung. No side pot was generated due to a checked down board 8 6 7 K 5. Cao showed his 6 9 and won it with the other two players mucking. Nguyen flashed a queen. She left the scene in 19th place.

Hoe Guofeng doubled up in the previous round with pocket aces but at the start of the new level, he lost it all to Thong Trinh. Thong shoved with K 9 and Guofeng risked his tournament life with 5 5. The board came Q 6 J 10 9 for a straight to Thong to bust Guofeng.


Kit Kwan Kwok ships a big one off Nguyen Van Canh

Kit Kwan Kwok has moved into the 900k range after claiming a huge pot against Nguyen Van Canh. Action folded to the button Kit, he raised to 26k. Nguyen defended his big blind with a three-bet to 80k. Kit called. On the flop 5 A A, both players checked. On the K turn, Nguyen slid out 100k, and Kit flat-called. On the river J, Canh slowed down and checked, Kit fired 150k, and won it with Nguyen surrendering his hand and his stake on the big pot.

Nguyen Thanh Nha knocked out by Cao in 22nd – VND 67,170,000

Nguyen Thanh Nha went head to head against Cao Ngoc Anh twice. On the first encounter, he doubled up with his 3 7 spiking a full house on the river 7 3 8 9 7 to defeat Cao’s 2 4 flush.

 On the next meet up however, it was sayonara for Nha. He had Q Q and Cao with A K. The board ran 4 A 6 4 J for a higher pair to Cao. Nha finished in 22nd place, a pretty good run having also cashed at the Main Event with his 11th place finish.


Minh Le’s ladies hold

The recent APT Main Event runner-up Minh Le three-bet all in with his short stack and got called by initial raiser Thong Trinh. Le had Q Q, Thong with A Q, the board ran dry and the ladies held their crown high for a double up.
