Day 2 underway; chip leaders on the move

Level: 11 Blinds: 1000-2000 Ante: 300

We’ve had some difficulty getting the updates on line for you but we’re ready to go! Within the first 25 minutes of Day 2, 9 players have quickly fallen and a couple of those chipping up were starting days chip leaders Nguyen Van Canh and Paul Hong.

Paul Hong

The first hand of the day saw Paul Hong knock out Flo Campomanes. On a complete board of 4 2 A 2 Q, Campomanes had a bet laid out, Hong shoved, and Campomanes called for his tournament life. He mucked upon seeing Hong’s A Q two pair.

Nguyen Van Canh

A few hands later, at Table 2, chip leader Nguyen Van Canh and Mark Wong Tze Yi called Gavin Flynn’s utg raise. At the flop Q 2 4, action was checked to Flynn who c-bet. It was raised by Nguyen, three-bet by Wong, Flynn folded, then shove – call – showdown time.

Nguyen K 9
Wong A 5

The turn 2 offered no help but the 9 river was the killer. Nguyen paired up and Wong was eliminated. Nguyen zoomed to over 500K.
