Tommy Goh and Chien Fa Chou got involved in two pots that sent the latter out of the running. On the first hand, the pot was raised preflop and the board came K♥ K♠ Q♦. Sb Chien checked, Goh c-bet 17k, called by Chien. On the turn 8♦ and river 2♦, Goh bet 40k and 100k, both check-called by Chien. Goh opened K♣ Q♦ quads, Chien mucked and was down to 140k. Goh up to 460k.
Several hands later, Goh lost 180k after doubling up Seung Yeol Kim when his Q♥ J♥ was unable to improve against 10♣ 10♠. However, Goh made up the lost chips by ending Chien’s day. Chien three-bet shoved with K♠ 2♥ and Goh called with J♣ 6♥. The board ran J♦ 5♣ 8♣ 10♣ Q♣ for a winning flush to Goh.
