Russell Thomas exposes the bluff

Button Russell Thomas raised to 15k, big blind Yuki Miyukura defended. The flop ran Q 7 J, Miyukura checked, Thomas c-bet 13k, Miyukura called. On the 4 turn, both checked and the river fell J. Miyukura led for 52k, Thomas called. Miyukura showed K 3 missed draw, Thomas won it with K 7 pair. Thomas now at 470k.


Mark Yeow goes up and down

mark Yeow lost a chunk of chips to Fu Yong Cheong in a battle of the blinds. Yeow with K 10, Cheong with A Q, the board ran dry for a double up to Cheong.

Immediately after, Yeow shoved on the button with Q 9 and got called by bb Wang Shih Ciao with K J. The board granted Yeow a pair as it ran A 9 10 10 5 for a double up. He is back to 140k.


Battle of the blinds

We got there with a 28k bet in front of sb Sung Chi Hei, bb Kwon Chun Kong with 65k out front, and a pot of 15k in the middle. Sung folded.


Hang Fang Hao stays in there

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

Hang Fang Hao three-bet all in his short stack and initial raiser Chein Hsun Wang called. Hao with K Q, Chien with 9 9, the board ran 7 K Q 10 5 for a double up to Hao.


Jacky Wong doubles up

Catching the action on a board Q 8 3 7 and 44.5k pot already brewed, bb Wu Siao Jhong checked then faced a bet of 60k from Alex Lindop’s corner. Wu tanked then called. The river 5 both checked and Wu won with Q J. Lindop mucked. Wu at 200k.


Chung Kin Fai vs Ying Lin Chua

Heated battle preflop kicked off with a raise by Mark Yeow to 10k. A few spots over, Ying Lin Chua three-bet to 32.5k; this was followed by a four-bet to 95k by Chun Kin Fai. Back to Yeow, he folded, then Ying jammed. Chung commented “I don’t think you have aces, I call”. He was right, both players had A-K. With no bad beats on the board it was a split pot.


Ori Kassonogi bumps one

Two short stacks went head-to-head, Ori Kassonogi 4 4and Andy Lim Q 10. The board ran 2 9 10 for a higher pair to Lim, the turn 10 improved him further, but the win was not his for the taking with the river slapping down 4 for a full house to Kassonogi. Lim busts, Kassonogi up to 100k.
