Bubble round: Benjamin Sai gets involved in two pots

During the bubble round, Benjamin Sai went head to head in two separate hands. On the first one, from the big blind he defended a button raise by Pickle Rick of 13k to see the flop 10 10 9. Both checked. On the turn A, Sai checked, Rick bet 11k, called by Sai. On the river 3, Sai led for 25k, Rick tanked using up two time banks then folded. Sai showed his Q J bluff while taking down the pot.

On the next hand, on a board 6 5 2 4, big blind Ngoc Anh Cao bet 40k, Sai check-called from the small blind. On the river 10, Sai bet 30k, Cao raised to 70k, Sai quickly folded.


Slade Fisher rails Minh A Nguyen, bubble round begins

Slade Fisher had 10 10, Minh A Nguyen at risk with 9 9, the board ran A K Q 4 K. The field is down to 50 players which means it is bubble time.

First break of the day and it comes with a chip race. All of the 500 chips will be removed. There are 51 players remaining with the money just two spots away. In the lead is none other than Dao Minh Phu who has now climbed to 1,200,000. Ankit Jajodia is running second in chips with 970,000. Average stack is just 238,725.


Nguyen Duy Thuc calls out the bluff

Great call by Nguyen Duy Thuc! On a board 4 5 8 9 J, and a pot of around 180k in the middle, Nguyen Duy Thuc fired a 25k bet, big stacked Pham Duy Anh raised to 80k, Nguyen called. Pham showed 6 3 bluff, Nguyen won it A 8 mid pair. He climbed to 425k, Pham dropped to 330k.


Dang Duy Thanh survives again

On the first hand of DAy 3, Dang Duy Thanh quickly doubled up then did so again to stay in running. He was all in with 5 5 that improved to a set to bring up his small stack to around 30k. He is still the danger zone with only 6 BB.


Bubble nearing… 51 left

The bubble is near with two players joining the rails. The next two to bust were Ngo Khoa Anh who fell to Dung Hoang Viet with A-3 spiking the three to beat Ace-Jack. Shortly after, Sumit Sapra A Q outdrew Do Yeon Jeong 8 8 when the Ace turned up on the river.

Pham Duy Anh sends Dang Thanh Luong to the tank

On a board 5 8 A 7, Pham Duy Anh raise-shoved sending Dang Thanh Luong tanking until he used up all of his time banks. His hand was declared a fold and was left with under 120k. Anh showed Ace-Seven for two pair. He zoomed to over 350k.


Chien Than celebrates his nut flush

All in at table 5 with Seok Jin at risk with 10 10, Chien Than had overcards A K. When the board ran 4 Q 8 2 2, it was a flush for Than on the river to win it and eliminate Jin before the money.


Cards flying at Main Event Day 3!

The hunt is underway! Main Event Day 3 has kicked off and within the first five minutes, numerous shoves were seen. The lone Thai player in the mix, Natthakit Suratin, was eliminated. His 8 bb stack was claimed by Slade Fisher. Following his bust was Huy Pham who busted to Ngoc Anh Cao. Several minutes after, Quang Vu fell.

On the flip side, Vu Duc Trung and Dang Duy Thanh both doubled up. We are down to 54 players. The money is near which starts at 49th place.
