Michael Falcon watched his chips dwindle and eventually lose it all to Antonio Angeles. During the hand, Falcon raised to 350, was three-bet by the sb players to 2550, and Falcon pushed his remaining 2,000 chips in the middle. At the flop of K♣ J♠ 6♥, sb bet 2,000 and Angeles called. At the turn of 2♠, sb checked, Angeles bet 4,000 and was called. On the river of 6♣, Antonio was given the go ahead which he used to bet out 3,000 which was called. Angeles showed A♦ A♠, sb mucked, and Falcon left the scene.
Catching the action on a board showing 3♥ 7♣ A♣, action checked to the mid-position player Peter Kleudgen, who bet 400, was check-called by the small blind, but when it swung back to Michael Falcon, he check-raised it to 1500. Kludgeon re-popped it to make it 3900 to play which was enough to get the sb to fold but not Falcon who called. At the turn of K♣, both checked. Then on the river of 9♦, Falcon checked again, Kleudgen shoved with around 8,000 or so chips, and Falcon folded.
Sammy Bolung seems to be scooping up the bigger pots at his table. In a recent hand, Bolung raised to 250 and was called by two table mates. At the flop of 9♦ A♣ 5♥, everyone checked to see a free turn of 8♠. Acting first, Bolung bet 500 was raised to 1500 by the button player, he called while the other players opted to fold. ON the river of J♠, Bolung checked, button player bet 2,500, raised to 7,000 by Bolung, and he got the call. Bolung revealed his 9♣ 9♠ for a sweet set besting his opponent’s A♠ J♦ top two pair.
Kicking off level 2, Samad Razavi was one of the five callers who joined in a raised pot initiated by Wyngard Brillo. At the flop of 10♦ 7♣ 5♦, Brillo bet 600, Razavi raised to 2,500, everyone else folded except for Brillo. On the river of 3♦, Razavi checked, Brillo checked right back, and Razavi won the pot with a sweet straight flush.
Rey Concepcion may have just lost a pot against Wyngard Brillo but he gained some of it back in a hand that saw five players in a raised pot. At the flop of 6♠ 7♦ 8♦, action checked to Concepcion who bet 675 and got three callers. At the turn of 4♦, sb player bet 1100 and Concepcion called with the rest folding. On the river of Q♠, sb player led again, this time for 1300, and Concepcion smooth-called. Sb player had 5♠ 8♣ for a straight but Concepcion had better with his 10♠ 9♣ higher straight.
Wyngard Brillo and Rey Concepcion tangled in a sizable pot that we caught on a turn board of 5♣ 6♠ 2♠ J♥. Brillo checked, Concepcion bet 7200, and Brillo shoved with around 30,000. Concepcion folded and Brillo won the pot. He now has almost 60,000 chips.
Wyngard Brillo is stirring up his table, playing lots of hands and winning a few pots here and there. His aggressive action paid off with a big scoop when he found himself all in with J♠ J♣ against a player with A♥ Q♥. With the board running 3♦ 4♥ 2♦ 3♣ 4♦, Brillo railed one and climbed to 45,000 chips
Well, it happens at every event, pocket kings versus pocket aces with both players all in preflop. Bolung had the better, and with the board running blanks, his aces dominated. He now has around 32,000.
At another table, Gerard Bringley had some action with his aces. It began with a raise by Erick Marzan to 150, was re-raised to 475 by Bringley from the cutoff seat, big bind player and Marzan both called. At the flop of 10♦ 7♣ Q♣, bb checked to Marzan who bet 650 which only Bringley called. At the turn of J♦, Marzan banged out 1,500, and still, Bringley smooth-called. Then on the river of 6♦, Marzan slowed down and checked while Bringley changed gears and bet 1925. Marzan called and Bringley revealed his winning A♠[ac} overpair.
Wyngard Brillo heated up his table with a three-bet to 625 which was called by two players plus the initial raiser. At the flop of 4♥ K♣ 10♥, Brillo continued with a 750 bet and was joined by two players to see a turn land 5♦. Once again, Brillo was relentless, he laid out a 1500 bet which got one to fold and one to continue on with him. Then on the river of 5♠, both checked and Brillo won with his A♥ 10♠.
