Action began with a player raising to 700 and finding two callers, sb player Norbert Koh, and the big blind player. At the flop of 9♥ 9♦ A♦, the blinds checked to the raiser who slid out 2,300 chips. Koh called and the bb player folded. With the turn landing 6♦, Koh changed tempo and led for 4,000. He was called. Then on the river of 2♠, Koh laid out 8,775 and got the call. Koh showed his A♠ K♦ for two pair and the win.
Sammy Bolung called Piyush Gupta’s pre-flop raise to 2,300 and they went to see a board land 7♦ 8♣ A♦. Gupta took the lead and sent out 2,500 which Bolung called. At the turn of J♦, Gupta led again, another 2,500, Bolung folds and shows his queens.
Erick Marzan faced a flop board showing 5♠ 6♠ 9♠ and decided to check-call a bet of 3,200 by the mid-position player. At the turn of 7♣, Marzan checked again while his opponent bet 7,500. Marzan responded with a check raise all-in and in a snap, his opponent folded while showing Q♣ Q♦. Marzan sits with 35,0000 chips.
Sam Razavi busted out at the hands of George Chehadeh in a hand that we caught on a turn board showing 6♠ 9♠ 9♦ 10♣. Razavi bet 7,000, Chehadeh called. On the river of 7♦, Razavi pushed with his remaining 11,000 and Chehadeh snap-called. Chehadeh won with his 8♣ 9♣ straight while eliminating Razavi in the process.
Geoffrey Mooney and JR Villanueva were in a raised pot pre-flop with the very short-stacked Rey Concepcion. At the flop of 5♠ 2♠ 10♥, Concepcion moved all in with his 375 chips and both Mooney and Villanueva called. At the turn of 8♠ and river of 2♣, Mooney and Villanueva checked to each other and Mooney won with his hole pair 6♠ 6♥. Concepcion mucked and exited the tournament.
With a 5,000 pot already in the middle, the board showed K♥ 2♦ 9♣. Emelito Dela Cerna checked to Wyngard Brillo who get 3500. Cerna answered with a check-raise to 7,500, and Brillo called. At the turn of 3♠, Cerna was all in for 8,775 and just like that, Brillo folded.
George Chehadeh three-bet to 1,850 and was called by initial raiser Trifie Montebon, caller Sam Razavi, and the player on the small blind seat. At the flop of 9♣ A♥ 5♦, sb checked, Chehadeh bet 2,225, Montebon and Razavi folded, and sb called. At the turn of J♦, sb checked again, Chehadeh dropped in 4,600, and sb quickly folded.
Jester Intia has certainly come to play. Entering the Main Event at the start of the third level, Intia rattled up the table taking two wins pre flop then following it up with a couple more wins to increase his stack further. In one of the hands, the board showed K♣ 10♠ A♥ 9♣ 7♠, Intia bet 5,100 and was called. Intia won the pot of about 18,000 with his A♠ Q♥ top pair.
On the next hand, Intia raised to 350 and was called by two players, one of whom was Hajime Mogi on the big blind. At the flop of 3♦ 8♥ 8♣, they all checked to see a free turn land 10♦. Mogi checked, Intia bet 850, one player folded, and Iwakura called. On the river of 5♣, Mogi checked to Intia again who sent out 2,200. Mogi check-called. Intia was awarded the pot with his 8♠ 9♦ trips.
With a hefty pot of 18,000 already in the middle and a board showing 2♦ 8♠ 4♥ 2♠, Calvin Tan shoved his remaining 7,325 and Rey Concepcion tanked for some time but eventually calling. At the showdown, Tan had pocket fours for a dominating boat against Concepcion’s pocket threes. The river of 5♣ was of no consequence. Tan now has around 34,000 chips.
