Angelo Felix is one to watch out for here. After his pocket aces was cracked by Chiu Tzu Cheng bringing him down to around 3500 chips, he quickly doubled it up with A-5 against K-J. With around 10K to work with, he needed to double up again and found the spot to do so in a hand against Gerard Bringley. Felix had A-Q that held up against Bringley’s K-10. Later, he won another double up, this time against Julian Hasse when his pocket sixes bested Hasse’s pocket threes. With all those double ups, Felix climbed to 55K.
Now that was quite impressive…. there’s more….
Felix moved all in again, this time he was called by Trifie Montebon. Felix had 10♥ 10♣ against Montebon’s A♣ Q♦ for a coin toss. The board ran K♠ 10♠ 3♦ giving Felix a set and Montebon a gut shot. Then with the turn of 6♣ and river of 9♣, Montebon failed to improve and Felix doubled up to around 110K chips.
