Iori Yogo eliminated in 21st place – PHP 145,200

Series defending champion Iori Yogo will not be making a repeat having been bounced out by Marc Rivera. Yogo was all in with A Q, Rivera had K K, no hits for Yogo on the board and packed up in 21st place.


Battle of the blinds: Bobby Zhang vs Marvin Rettenmaier

Level: 18 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 10000

Catching the action on turn board 7 4 10 4, sb Bobby Zhang bet 34k and bb Marvin Rettenmaier called. On the river 9, Zhang checked, Rettenmaier bet 82k, and Zhang called. Rettenmaier turned over 4 5 trips and scooped the pot.


Steamrollin Jae Hyun Lim rails Kai Paulsen in 22nd place – PHP145,200

Level: 18 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 10000

Jae Hyun Lim just eliminated Kyung Min Lee and did the same to Kai Paulsen. Paulsen shoved with 10 10 and Lim called with A 9. The board ran 9 9 Q A 4 for a full house to Lim and a 22nd place finish for Paulsen.

We are down to 21 players! Lim now joins Lim Yohwan with over 1M in chips. They are the overwhelming chip leaders with average stack at around 400k.


Kyung Min Lee out in 23rd place – PHP 124,100

Level: 18 Blinds: 5000-10000 Ante: 10000

After doubling up Kai Paulsen, Kyung Min Lee was down to below 200k. He shoved with A-K and got called by Jae Hyun Lim with 7-7. The board landed A 6 7 6 3 for a set to Lim and a 23rd place finish for Min.


Si Yang Phua banks a boost through Walken Li

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Walken Li raised to 18k, Si Yang Phua three-bet to 43k, Li shoved, and snap-call by Phua.

Board ran A 6 4 K 3 to keep Phua ahead to double up big. He stormed to 620k.


Gavin Flynn out in 24th place – PHP 124,100

Level: 17 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Gavin Flynn was all in with J 10 on a flop of 9 5 Q up against Steffen Endres with A Q. The turn 10 improved him but still behind Endres’s top pair. With the river 9, he still missed it was an 24th place finish for Flynn.


Yoichi Uesugi out in 25th place – PHP 124,100

Level: 1`7 Blinds: 4000-8000 Ante: 8000

Another short stack went tumbling out… Yoichi Uesugi all in with A 4 but couldn’t improve against Hung Sheng Lin’s A J with the board running 10 8 9 10 2.

Kai Paulsen doubles up through Min

Kai Paulsen all in with A 4, Kyung Min Lee called with K 10. The board ran 8 3 2 5 7 for a straight and a double up to Paulsen.


Eli Luannan out in 26th place, En Ching Wu 27th place – PHP 124,100

Short stacked Eli Luannan had only two moves entering the day, shove or fold. Following the shove of Oystein Nordii, Luannan joined in, and initial raiser Steffen Endres folded while showing 7-7.

The board ran A 5 8 K 7 to boot out Luannan. Had Endres called, he would have knocked out both players with his set on the river.

At a separate table, Jack En Ching Wu busted in 27th place. Unfortunately we missed the action.
