Ji Young Kim was looking good when she check-jammed with 6 7 on a flop of 6 10 7 called by Feng Zhao with K K. However, with the turn 2 and river 2, it was her two pair fell behind Zhao’s runner-runner two pair. She exited in 19th place.

Osmar Moraes bows out in 20th place – PHP 145,200

Short stacked Osmar Moraes three-bet all in with 112k remaining and initial raiser Sun Tan called.

The board ran dry and Moraes took 20th place. This was an impressive run for Moraes who won his seat via the satellite.


Marvin Rettenmaier vs Si Yang Phua

On a raised pot preflop, (bb) Marvin Rettenmaier and (co) Si Yang Phua stared down a flop 6 J A. Rettenmaier check-called 28k. On the 7 turn, Rettenmaier check-called 45k. Then on the river Q, both checked and Phua won with A Q over Rettenmaier’s A 5.

Rettenmaier down to 400k, Phua at 600k.


Joshua Chargualaf takes from Si Yang Phua

Si Yang Phua has been very active at the felt, seen going head to head against nearly every player at the table. This time he was up against big blind Josh Chargualaf. On a flop 3 J 10, Chargualaf checked, Phua bet 26k, Chargualaf raised to 68k, and Phua flat-called. On the Q turn, no bets were fired and the dealer laid the river 8. Chargualaf checked, Phua bet 85k, Chargualaf called.

Walken Li survives

Walken Li is doing his best to come back from losing a majority of his stack on an earlier hand against Si Yang Phua. Afterwards, he managed to double up once through Phua and did so again moments ago. Li was all in preflop with A 2 and Phua was ahead with A 9. With the board landing J 7 2 7 2, it was a full house to Li for a double up to around 150k. Average stack is 435k.


Sun Tan misses all his outs, Terence Kwang doubles up

On a flop 10 J K, Sun Tan had a huge drawing hand Q 10 to eliminate Terence Kwang’s J 7 second pair. However the turn 4 and river 5 did not produce any of the 20 outs that Tan needed and Kwang was happy for the double up.
