Gyeong Byeong Lee is another APT decorated champion that will be missing his chance for a second title. He was just eliminated by Je Hun Hong in 9th place. Action set off with Xixiang Luo raising to 90k, called by Hong and bb Lee. At the flop 9 4 10, Lee jammed, Luo folded, Hong tank-called.

When the turn K landed, Luo hoped he didn’t fold saying he had A-K. The river 9 completed the board. Hong had more chips than Lee and shipped it. Lee earned PHP 478,600 for his deep run.


Cao Ngoc Anh nosedives in 10th place – PHP 398,800 (~USD 7,600)

APT decorated champion Cao Ngoc Anh has been one of the most aggressive players out there. He entered the final 10 table running third in chips. However, he will not be bringing home a second title having been sent to the rail hard by Xixiang Luo.

The hand kicked off with Luo raising to 60k from utg, bb Anh defended. At the flop 4 2 6, And check-called a 60k bet. On the turn 4, Anh checked, Luo bet 85k, Anh raised to 230k, Luo called. On the river 2, Anh led for 500k, Luo announced all in with a stack covering Anh, Anh called. Luo showed 6 6 full house. Anh mucked and packed up in 10th place. Anh earned PHP 398,800.

Luo now at 5M in chips and is the overwhelming chip leader with 9 remaining.


Alex Lee doubles up but still below average

The once massive chip leader Alex Lee is now on the hunt for chips. With only 305k behind, he three-bet shoved on top of Je Hun Hong’s 65k raise, Hong called.

From utg+1 Alex Lee raised to 65k, cutoff Xixiang Luo called, bb Je Hun Hong shoved (525k), Lee called, Luo folded. Lee Q Q, Hong A K, the board ran A 6 5 8 2 for a higher pair spiked by Hong. Hong doubled up to 1.2M. Lee dropped to 375k.


Xixiang Luo takes some from Cao Ngoc Anh

Cutoff Cao Ngoc Anh raised to 65k, button Xixiang Luo called. At the flop A A K, Anh bet 50k, Luo called. On the turn J no bets landed. The river 10, Anh fired 200k and Luo with a snap-call. Anh showed 8 8, Luo won the pot with K Q straight.

Luo up to 2.9M, Anh down to 1.58M.


Juyuk Park shoves for the pot

From mid position, Juyuk Park raised to 65k, sb Seungmook Jung called, bb Cao Ngoc Anh three-bet to 240k, Park shoved over 1.4M, Jung folded, Anh opted to fold as well. Park up to 1.760M. Anh down to 1.9M.

John Costiniano goes up then falls hard in 11th place – PHP 332,400 (~USD 6,300)

Day 3 entering chip leader John Costiniano is out of the running having been bounced out by Seungmook Jung. Prior to that hand, Costiniano enjoyed a double up through Alex Lee with 4 4 set over A 8 on a board of J J 9 4 3.

On the next hand, action folded to sb Seungmook Jung who raised, Costiniano jammed his 850k stack, Jung snap-called. Costiniano A 2, Jung A Q, the board bricked, Costiniano was eliminated in 11th place. He earned PHP 332,400. Jung up to 2.425M and is now the chip leader.
