Si Young Lee will not be bringing home a back-to-back win. He won this event right here in April and hoped for a repeat, but not the case. He lost two pots that sent him out of the running.

Several hands later was a three-way all in, mid position Lee 9♠ 9♦, Roger Spets all in J♦ J♥, bb Tai Jin Kim A♠ K♥, the board ran 8♠ 3♥ 2♥ K♠ 6♥. Lee busted, Kim claimed both the main and side pot. Spets dropped to 14k and exited shortly after. Kim up to 145k.
Recent Main Event runner-up, Sim Jae Kyung aka Simba, went head to head against Bae Chul Ho with all the chips in on a flop 6♥ J♦ 7♠. Bae 10♣ 8♣, Simba J♣ 8♥, the turn 4♥ and river Q♣ kept Simba up to double up to 55k.
Lester Edoc is now into the 200k range after shipping a double up against Gab Yong Kim. Edoc 3♣ 3♠, Kim J♥ J♣, the board 7♦ 8♥ 5♥ 2♦ 3♥ for a winning set. Edoc climbed to 220k, Kim crippled to 6.5k.
One of the day’s entering chip leaders, Michael Kim Falcon, may have dropped in chips but his stack is still well over average. At the moment he is sitting on 285k.
