Moses Saquing wins a good pot vs Matsuda

Mp player Moses Saquing raised to 12k, hijack John Matsuda and big blind Chris Mateo called. At the flop 4 9 7, they all checked. The turn 10 saw a bet from Matsuda, Mateo tank-folded and Saquing check-called. On the river 4, check from Saquing, Matsuda slid out 37k, Saquing flat-called. Matsuda showed A K, Saquing won the pot with A 8 straight. Saquing has 410k.


Edliberto Gopez swings; Mark Ortiz doubles up

Level: 19 Blinds: 3K-6K Ante: 6K

Edilberto Gopez got involved in two hands that sent his stack slightly down then back up. On the first pot, he raised to 12k, found two callers, then Mark Ortiz jammed his 50k stack, only Gopez called. Gopez 8 8, Ortiz Q Q, the board ran clean for a double up to 133k to Ortiz.

Two hands later, Gopez and Kang Seung Min faced off. Catching the action on a turn board 8 8 J 10, Gopez led 50k and was called. On the river 2, Gopez sent out 80k, Kang called. Gopez had 9 7 straight to take down the pot and rise to around 440k. Kang down to 90k.


Will Fasano, Joseroy Jeremias, and Janno Alvarez bust

At table 3, Will Fasano busted in 36th place to Jae Chang. Action opened with Kang Seung Min raising to 11k, Fasano jammed his 15 BB stack, Chang called, Kang folded. Fasano had Q 10, Chang A K, the board ran clean. Fasano earned Php 116,400 for his finish. Chang up to 544k.

Short stacked Joseroy Jeremias all in with A 10, Emmanuel Segismundo challenged with 5 5. The board ran 6 5 K K 2 for a crushing full house to Segismundo and 35th place for Jeremias. He earned Php 116,400 for his deep run.

Back to table 3, Edilberto Gopez raised to 12k, Janno Alvarez three-bet to 33k, Chang four-bet 91k, Alvarez five-bet shoved. Gopez had J J, Alvarez A J, no help came for Alvarez on the board to bust in 34th place for Php 116,400.


John Matsuda bad beats Benjamin Dimaano

Level: 18 Blinds: 2500-5000 Ante: 5000

The first player to the cage was Benjamin Dimaano in 37th place for Php 97,000. Dimaano was all in with J J, John Matsuda called with 9 9, the board dropped the two-outer nine on the turn for a bad beat set Matsuda. Matsuda up to 240k.


Lion Lee rivered out on the bubble by Ian Marcos

The bubble has been delivered! The unfortunate casualty was Lion Lee K K and was up against big stacked Czar Ian Marcos with A Q. The board was looking good for Lee running J 7 3 10, but when the river slapped down A, it was the end for Lee and Marcos increased to 460k.

Everyone is now in the money. The race for a final 8 seat begins!


Bust outs leading up to bubble time

We’ve had three quick bust outs leading to the bubble round. At table 4, Mac Mantos A K missed the board to fall to Renniel Galvez’s J J. At table 2, Aamir Choudhry eliminated Aden Ang Kok Sin with the shoves seen at the flop 2 4 9. Aden had pocket Tens, Choudhry K 2, the turn 8 kept the pair ahead but with the river K, it was the end for Aden. Had Aden busted on the bubble he would have gotten his buy in back in the form of APT credits having availed of bubble protection.

At table 6, Yuta Murakami three-bet all in and initial raiser Lee Chang Hwan called. Murakami had A 9 ahead of Lee’s K J, however, the board favored the chip leader Lee as it ran J J 3 Q 7 for trips. Murakami was also bubble protected but wasn’t compensated having busted two spots from the money.

At table 2, utg Quoc Vu Nguyen, the lone Vietnamese in the field, raised to 11k, button Aamir Choudhry three-bet to 30k, Nguyen called. On the flop 8 3 6, Nguyen check-called 40k. On the turn 10, Nguyen checked, Choudhry bet 55k, Nguyen jammed, Choudhry tank-folded. Nguyen shoed 8. Nguyen rises to just under 500k. Choudhry down to 200k.

At table 4, cutoff Joel Chan Leong raised to 10.5k, sb Mac Mantos called, bb Ryan Jerico Platon called. On the flop J 8 3, all checked. On the turn Q, Platon bet 16k, Leong folded, check-called by Mantos. On the river 2, Platon fired 16k again, Mantos check-called then mucked upon seeing Platon’s Q 5 top pair.

At table 3, hijack player Jae Chang raised to 10k, big blind Kang Seung Min defended. At the flop 2 K 8, Chang c-bet 6k, Min check-called. On the turn J and river 3, both checked. Chang won the pot with 8 8 set.
