Sofia Fullmer earns a big pot with trip aces

Two hands after losing a pot to David Erquiaga, button player Jung Ho Young called utg Sofia Lovgren Fullmer’s 90k raise preflop. When the cards landed A 7 6, both players checked. On the turn K, Fullmer bet 175k and Young called. The river A, Fullmer sent out a stack of oranges amounting to 500k, Young snap-called then saw the bad news. Fullmer’s A 10 trips had his K 10 way beat. Fullmer soared to 3.65M, Young dropped to 1.7M.


David Erquiaga exposes Young’s bluff

Preflop action saw David Erquiaga driving the pot again with a raise to 50k. He was called by big blind Jung Ho Young and the flop landed 2 9 6. Erquiaga c-bet 100k, Young check-called, and the dealer dropped the K on the turn both players checked. The river J, Young took a stab with a 250k bet, Erquiaga called, and Young had to show the 7 5 bluff. Erquiaga won it with A A. Young dropped to 2.4M, Erquiaga back up to 2.2M.


Hwany Lee stops the aggressor Erquiaga

David Erquiaga raised to 80k from the cutoff seat, small blind Hwany Lee joined the hunt, and after the big blind folded, the flop ran 2 9 A. Lee checked to the aggressor, Erquiaga c-bet 85k, Lee flat-called. On the turn 8, Erquiaga fired a sizable 385k, Lee tank-shoved, and took it down with a quick fold from Eruiqaga. Lee chipped up to 1.9M and is now ranked 3rd, Erquiaga dropped to 1.7M.


David Erquiaga climbs over 2M

Having just picked up a small pot with no callers to his preflop raise, David Erquiaga defended his big blind by calling utg Sofia Lovgren Fullmer’s 90k raise. At the flop 8 7 4, Erquiaga check-called Fullmer’s 100k c-bet. The turn 7 saw more chips dumped in the pot with Fullmer sliding out 200k which Erquiaga tank-called. The river J, Erquiaga switched up and led for 360k, Fullmer gave it up. Erquiaga added 410k to his stack to climb to 2.3M. Fullmer dropped to 2.8M.


Hernan Villa scores another pot

From cutoff, Hwany Lee raised to 90k, small blind Hernan Villa three-bet to 295k, big blind Jung Ho Young called to send the action back to Lee who opted to get out of the way. On the flop 4 10 2, Villa c-bet 215k, Young gave it a thought then folded. Villa took down his second pot of the day and has now risen to 1.9M.


Jung Ho Young gets no pay for his rockets

We’ve already seen kings cracked. Based on the live stream the third hand Jung Ho Young looked down at A A but no fireworks this time with no callers to his raise.


Second hand goes to the chip leader

Second hand of the final table and another big pot brewed. The hand opened with hijack Hernan Villa raising to 165k, called by Jung Ho Young from cutoff, then big blind Sofia Lovgren Fullmer three-bet to 230k. No takers to award the pot to the chip leader. Fullmer climbed to 3.2M.


Bonifacio Mondalo eliminated on the first hand – 8th place – Php 630,800 (US$ 11,230)

On the first hand of the final table, from hijack Bonifacio Mondalo raised to 65k, cutoff Hernan Villa three-bet to 190k, Mondalo shoved his stack amounting to a total 385k, and Villa called with his big stack.

Though Mondalo was way ahead, at the flop 6 5 3 8 9 Villa banged a crazy two pair to oust crack the cowboys an oust Mondalo in 8th place. Mondalo earned Php 630,800 (~US$ 11,230) for his largest career payout. Villa has now climbed up two notches to 3rd rank with 1.6M in chips.
