Button player David Erquiaga min-raises, sb Sofia Lovgren Fullmer calls, big blind Hernan Villa three-bets to 520k, back to Erquiaga who four-bet to 1.4M. Fullmer got out of the way while Villa tank-folded.


Hernan Villa collects small ones

After railing Hwany Lee, Hernan Villa continues to beef up his stack with a couple of small pots dragged in. The latest was a small a pot between him and Sofia Lovgren Fullmer. Villa raised from the button to 135k, Fullmer defended on the big blind. At the flop A 2 9, Villa c-bet which saw a quick fold from Fullmer.


Hwany Lee eliminated in 4th place – Php 1,689,300 (~US$ 29,725)

End of the road for the lone Korean remaining, Hwany Lee who shoved with 1.2M (20 BB) and was called by big blind Hernan Villa. It was a coin flip with Lee 3 3 and Hwany Lee A 9. When the board ran K 8 K 8 9, Lee was eliminated in 4th place. He earned Php 1,689,300 (~US$ 29,725). 


Hernan Villa goes head to head against Erquiaga to retake control

Action folded to small blind Hernan Villa who bumped it up to 160k, big blind David Erquiaga three-bet to 550k, and Villa wasted no time counting and fast-called. No bets at the flop K Q 6. The turn A Villa checked, Erquiaga fired a 380k bet, Villa with another fast call. On the river 2 it was back to checking. Villa won it with 10 10. Villa chipped up to 41.M, Erquiaga dipped to 3.6M.


Hwany Lee triple barrels but loses the pot

David Erquiaga limped in from the button, big blind Hwany Lee raised to 270k, Erquiaga called. On the flop 7 4 K, Lee continued with a 150k bet, Erquiaga called, to see the turn 5. Lee triple barreled a hefty 350k, and still could not push out Erquiaga who called. The river 2, both players checked. Erquiaga took it with 6 4 pair. Erquiaga is back on top with over 4.8M.


Hernan Villa vs Sofia Lovgren Fullmer

From utg, Sofia Lovgren Fullmer raised to 135k, small blind Hernan Villa called, and big blind David Erquiaga folded. The flop 7 9 8 saw a check from Villa while Fullmer c-bet 150k. Villa responded with a raised to 425k, Fullmer didn’t bite.


Big call by Sofia Lovgren Fullmer to retake the lead

Great call by Sofia Lovgren Fullmer to land a huge double up against the leader David Erquiaga. The hand opened with button Erquiaga limping in, small blind Fullmer raised to 300k, Erquiaga called. At the flop 10 A 7, Fullmer checked, Erquiaga took a stab with a 225k bet, Fullmer didn’t flinch and called. The turn A, both players slowed down and checked. The river 8, Fullmer led for 375k, Erquiaga tanked then jammed his massive stack. This sent Fullmer tanking then found the guts to risk her tournament life.

Erquiaga was bluffing with Q J, Fullmer doubled up with J J. Fullmer back in the driver’s seat with 3.6M, while Erquiaga was bumped down to 3M.


Jung Ho Young’s bad timing shove ends in 5th place – Php 1,263,000 (~US$ 22,228)

Heavy preflop action kicked off with cutoff Hernan Villa raising to 120k, button Jung Ho Young called, then David Erquiage three-bet a stack of oranges amounting to 500k. Villa folded but Young slid out the orange tower to match. On the flop 10 2 7, Erquiaga checked, Young jammed, and was snap-called by Erquiaga.

Young was in a world of hurt, needing to land a lucky backdoor straight but not the case with the turn K and river 6. Young was eliminated in 5th place to earn Php 1,263,000 (~US$ 22,228) for his largest ever tournament career cash. Erquiaga zoomed to 4.8M and is currently the race leader.
