Failed bluff by Sofia Lovgren Fullmer ends in 3rd place – Php 2,338,800 (~US$ 41,160)


The day’s entering chip leader Sofia Lovgren Fullmer was sent packing in 3rd place by none other than Hernan Villa who once again found the courage to call her river shove. The hand opened with a raise by Fullmer to 135k on the button, small blind Villa called. The flop 5 Q 6, Fullmer c-bet 175k, Villa replied with a check-raise to 440k, Fullmer called to amass a 1M pot. The turn 8 Villa checked, Fullmer triple-barreled 700k and Villa called for the pot to grow to 2.7M. The river 8, Villa checked again, Fullmer slid all of her chips out front, Villa tanked with roughly the same stack behind.

Like previous, Villa found the call to expose Fullmer’s K 2 bluff. Villa shipped it with K Q top pair. Fullmer exited in 3rd place for Php 2,338,800 (~US$ 41,160).
