Bubble bursts! Samuel Deering falls to Hernan Villa

Three hands was all it took for the bubble to burst. The first all in saw Tomohiro Tsuchiya’s K K survive Vladimir Mefodichev’s A K but not so fortunate for Samuel Deering. On a flop 4 9 2, Deering was all in with K 4, Hernan Villa challenged with top pair J 9, the turn 6 and river 6 were not the outs Deering needed to bust on the bubble.


Jan Jason Leoncio delivers double knockout

Another three way showdown with William Fasano all in with 50.5k, Joel Singam – who dropped down to 10k after losing a pot to Hernan Villa – tossed his short stack in, and Jan Jason Leoncio, who had just doubled up through Fasano with pocket Kings beating Ace-King.

Before Lim Sangbeom busted, he first lost a big pot to Bonifacio Mondalo’s full house. Shortly after, he was all in with his remaining 69k stack, Weon Jae Yoon joined in for less, then Soufiane Bakas called them both with his massive stack.

With a board showing 7 9 3 Q and a pot just under 120k weighing down the middle, You Jun Hong shoved for 63k, Jason Magbanua folded. Hong showed the K J bluff. Hong climbed to 240k.


Katsu calls to his doom

On a board that completed 6 A K 9 4 and a pot of 62.5k in the middle, Katsu bet 33k, Soufiane Bakas jammed, Katsu snap-called for his tournament life.

Ryota Oda celebrated his double up his short stack with A 7 staying ahead of You Jun Hong’s 3 7.

At table 2, On a flop 9 7 8, Samuel Deering announced all in and was Ryan Gebow risked it. Gebow A 9 outkicked Deering’s 9 4, and with the turn 7 and river 5, it was a scoop for Gebow to 180k.


Two fast busts
