On a flop of K♠ 5♠ K♣, Thomas Ward bet 650 onto a preflop raised up pot. Hiromi Sato raised to 1625 and Ward called. At the turn of 8♣ and river of 8♥, Ward showed Q♥ 9♥ while Sato had better A♦ 5♣.
With blinds and antes low, just at level one, three players saw a flop of 7♣ 4♠ 8♥. Big blind player Masatoshi Tanaka bet 575, cutoff player Francisco Acfalle Sr raised to 1500, small blind John Beveridge folded, and Tanaka called. The turn of A♣ and river of 5♣ saw no bets and Tanaka won with K♣ 8♦. Acfalle had 10-9.
At the next table, four player on a limped pot saw a board land J♥ 3♥ 9♥ 10♣ Q♥. It was checked all the way to the river and Clarence Choon Huat won it with his 10♥ 9♦ flush.
