Chong shaves Jongyeol’s stack

Although no overwhelming chip leader has emerged, Kimura Lee Jongyeol may be one of the contenders. In a hand against Victor Chong, Jongyeol attempted to gain more but got a shaving instead.

On a flop of Q 10 Q, Chong checked to Jongyeol who bet 2k. Chong called. On the turn of 10, Chong checked it again and Jongyeol bet another 2k. Chong replied with a check-raise to 6k, but got a re-raise back at him of 13k from Jongyoel. Chong called. On the river of 7, both players checked and Chong opened up K 10 full house to win it. Jongyeol mucked.


Lots of diamonds, Uesugi wins the pot

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

On a flop of 8 J 9, Tristan Yumul was all in with his short stack of 8300, was called by Hun Sok Meng, then Yoichi Uesugi also shoved. With more chips than Uesugi, Meng called for a three-way showdown.

The turn of Q was bank for Uesugi as he completed his straight, and with the river of 3 he further improved to a nut flush to win the big pile in the middle.


Yong doubles up on the river through Kastle

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

Jin Yong earned himself a sweet doublle up courtesy of Casey Kastle. The flop was 9 3 4 and all his chips found its way to the middle with Kastle making the call.

The turn of 10 was no help to Yong but the river card of 4 was, giving him a dominating full house to claim a double up.


Double up for SJ Kim

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

SJ Kim bagged a double up to climb over the starting stack range. On a flop of 3 9 8, he was all in with 28k and Masatoshi Tanaka called.

The turn of 10 gave Kim one of the out he needed to overtake Tanaka, and with the river of Q, the win was secured. Kim now up to 60k chips.


Tsuda shoves out Koo

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

Michiya Tsuda and Kwangil Ku engaged in a pot that brewed 7k in the middle preflop. The dealer laid out Q Q 4, Tsuda checked, Koo bet 4k, Tsuda check-raised all in, and that was it. Koo folded.


Buck doubles up Kato

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

Takuya Kato four-bet all in and Kenneth Buck had enough chips to make the call.

Edoc seesaws vs Chong and Tseng

Two hands back-to-back saw Lester Edoc go down then up like a seesaw. On the first hand, the flop of 7 8 10 had Victor Chong bet 1k onto an unraised pot preflop. Edoc replied with a raise to 3500, and Chong flat-called. On the turn of 9, Chong sent the betting option to Edoc who obliged with a 4k drop, and Chong called. On the river of 8, both players checked it.

The next hand Edoc was up against Tseng Wei Ming who raised to 1k preflop. Edoc three-bet to 2500, and Tseng called. On the flop of 10 J Q, Tseng checked to Edoc who slid out 3500 and Tseng matched it. On the turn of 6, Tseng passed to Edoc who laid out a bigger bet of 10k to which was answered with an all in by Tseng. With less chips, Edoc put his tournament life on the line.

Ortiz increases with another sizable pot

On a flop of 6 6 2, Yoichi Uesugi bet 6k to Bertand Ortiz who smooth-called. On the turn of Q, Uesugi checked, Ortiz bet 7k, and this time it was Uesugi who smooth-called. On the river of 4, Uesugi checked again, Ortiz banged out 15k, and won the hand with no challenge.


Supnet ships in a well deserved massive pot
