Cowboys no good for Tetsuya Sakamoto…. The hand began with Sim Jae Kyung raising to 1k and was called by both Edward Pastoll and Alexis Lim. When action reached the small blind Sakamoto, he raised to 4k. Kyung and Pastoll stuck with him while Lim folded.

The flop of 4 2 9 saw Sakamoto continue with a 6k bet and both Kyung and Pastoll called again. On the turn of A, action was checked to Pastoll who bet 7k, Sakamoto check-raised all in, Kyung folded, and Pastoll with the quick-call.

The river was a 2 and with that, Sakamoto was eliminated.


Gonzaga burned on the turn, Marcos at 110k

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

Terry Gonzaga hit a nasty wall in a hand against Ian Marcos. Action preflop started off with Gonzaga raising to 1200, Marcos three-betting to 5200, and Gonzaga flat-called.

The flop came 6 2 3 and Marcos kicked it off with a 7k bet. Gonzaga pushed all his chips in, and Marcos called.

The turn of Q sent the table in an uproar as Marcos took the lead with a higher set. The river of 10 was no good for Gonzaga and he got up to leave. Marcos up to 110k.


Lim continues to rise, Liow out again

Level: 4 Blinds: 200-400 Ante: 50

It seems as if every time Alexis Lim wins a pot, it is one with a good story. In this hand, he delivered Marcuss Liow his second defeat of the day.

With the flop laid out, 4 3 5. Lim bet 2k, Kunal Patni called, Marcus Liow raised to 10k, Lim boosted it up to 25k, Patni bowed out, Liow shoved, and with more chips behind, Lim called.

The turn came 4 and river of 6. Liow was out for the second time today. Lim rose to 160k.


Hanwool eliminates Gaor

Level: 3 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

In a battle of the blinds situation, Roger Gaor and Jang Hanwool contributed to the 7k pot that was splashed in the center during the preflop betting round.

The flop landed 10 6 8 and Gaor bet 6100. Hanwool raised to 15k, Gaor went all in, and Wool called.

Yogo vs Bagcat

Preflop raises led to two players headed to the flop, Iori Yogo and Arthur Bagcat. The board was 2 7 8, Yogo bet 2300 and Bagcat called. The turn of 8 was checked by both but on the river of A, action resumed with Yogo checking, Bagcat bet 3k, and Yogo called.

As the intimidating large stack at his table, Dhanesh Chainani picked up a small pot with his winning pocket tens on a board of 2 A 4 7 5.


Hirai with a good call vs Park

Level: 3 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

With a raised pot of 1800 already in the center, The flop showed 5 3 6 and Junko Hirai bet 500. Park called and the turn fell 3. Hirai slid out 1250, Park called, and they went to see the river of 6. Hirai decided to slow down and check, Park moved in with a 2800 bet, and after several seconds, Hirai called.

Chu doubles up through Lee

Daero Lee took a beating after losing a big pot to Sze Keung Chu. On a completed board of K 2 5 A 9 and with Chu’s chips all in the middle, Lee mucked when he saw Chu’s Q J. Chu climbed to over 80k and Lee fell to around 16k.


Bagcat finishes off Araniel

Level: 3 Blinds: 150-300 Ante: 25

Another casualty early in the day with Arthur Bagcat eliminating Noel Araniel. Action began with Iori Yogo raising to 1300, Araniel called, Bagcat three-bet to 5500, Yogo folded, and Araniel called.

On the flop of 6 4 5, Araniel was all in with around 14k and Bagcat called.
