Tollefsen in the house

Henrik Tollefsen, the first player to win two APT Main Event titles is in the field and has picked up a nice pot to add to his stack. He kicked off the hand with a raise to 2k, after that, some busy action followed. Gerard Bringley three-bet to 5k, William Kang called, Tollefsen four-bet to 18k, then Bringley and Kang called.

The flop was K 10 7. Kang checked, Tollefsen charged with a 21k bet, then Bringley and Kang folded.


Tsuji’s low pocket pair still good

Shunsuke Tsuji may have lost some chips to the leader several hands ago but has gained some back in this winning hand. It began with a short stacked player all in and three players calling, which included Tsuji.

The flop landed 4 2 J, Lester Edoc led out for 3k, Tsuji called, and one player folded. On the turn of 3, Edoc checked to Tsuji who took used the opening to bet 5500. Edoc called, adding more to the side pot. On the river of 9, both checked.

Chong challenges Edoc

With a pot of over 18k in the middle and a board of 8 K 8 8, Lester Edoc checked to Victor Chong who bet 7700. Edoc called. On the turn of 9, Edoc checked again, Chong sent his entire stack of 23.7k to the betting line, and Edoc denied the challenge.


Funabashi vs Mudgal

Level: 7 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Button player Jun Funabashi raised to 2k preflop, Dhaval Mudgal three-bet to 6k, big blind folded, and Funabashi called. The flop ran 2 K 7, Mudgal checked, Funabashi bet 4200, Mudgal called. The turn of 3 saw Mudgal check his option again, Funabashi aggressively betting 14k, and Mudgal gave up his stake on the pot with a fold.


Jongyeol bullies Tsuji

Level: 7 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Kimura Lee Jongyeol grabs another pot, this time up against Shunsuke Tsuji. The hand began with Tsuji raising to 2100 and getting called by both Lester Edoc and Victor Chong. Next up was Jongyeol who jammed it up to 9100, Tsuji called and the other two folded.

At the flop of 5 6 3, Jongyeol bullied with his big stack by shoving and Tsuji folded.


Tran collects a pot

Level: 7 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

One of the leaders of the day, Linh Tran, raised to 1800 and found two players to join him to the flop of J 5 8. Takahashi Makoto kicked off the betting round with 2200, Tran called, and one bowed out. The turn of 2 saw Makoto check, Tran bet 4600, and that was it. Tran won it with no challenge.


Seitaro rails Draper

Level: 7 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Freezeout stage brings a couple of bust outs, Aso Seitaro eliminated Patrick Draper in a full house over full house situation. Seitaro had K-10, Draper with 9-8, board ran 9-10-9-10-x with the all in on the river bet.

Kakiuchi Yasuke eliminated Bryan Huang, unfortunately we missed the hand.


Jongyeol vs Edoc

Level: 7 Blinds: 400-800 Ante: 100

Kimura Lee Jongyeol and Lester Edoc were in a heated bout for this pot. Jongyeol is the current chip leader and with this win, he would surge increase away. There were 4 players in on the raised pot preflop with 9200 in the middle.

First to act was Tseng Wei Ming who checked; Edoc bet 4k; Victor Chong folded; Jongyeol called; back to Tseng who folded.

On the turn of 5, Edoc and Jongyeol checked. The river of J stirred action with Edoc betting 6k, Jongyeol raising to 15k, and Edoc called after a couple of minutes.

Jongyeol turned over A 10 for the nut flush. He is now over 190k chips.
