China’s Wenling Gao got involved in two separate pots that ultimately sent her stack spiraling down to a critical 30k. The first hand saw three players in the hand with Gao joined by button player Wang Wenrui and big blind Yoichi Uesugi.
At the flop K♥ 9♦ Q♣, Gao bet 8k, was called by Wang Wenrui while Uesugi check-folded. On the K♣ turn, she dropped a 20k c-bet only to get shoved by Wang. Gao eventually folded.
The next losing pot happened just before the round ended. She faced off with Uesugi. We missed the action prior to the shoves but we did get a loose review of it from the winner. Preflop action, Uesugi raised from utg, Gao three-bet from mid position, and Uesugi called.
On the flop J♣ 2♦ 6♣, Uesugi checked to the aggressor Gao who fired out a c-bet, Uesugi called. On the A♠ turn, action was the same. Uesugi checked, Gao bet, then Uesugi jammed it all in for a total of 62k. This sent Gao tanking until the clock was finally called on her. On the last seconds, she called.
