Wang Meng raised to 35k and found three players to join him to the flop 10♣ 4♠ 4♥. Action was checked to Evgeny Kurilenko who sent out 60k. Meng check-called. On the 6♦ turn, both players checked. On the river 8♦, Meng shoved and won it with Kurilenko folding. Kurilenko asked Meng to show his bluff, and he obliged. He revealed his A♠ 2♠ hole cards. Nice push. Meng climbs to 700k.
Hele Liu has a massive 2M chips, dwarfing all of his tablemates. He has been muscling the competition, picking up multiple pots at every orbit. On one hand, against Phachara Wongwichit he raised preflop to 35k from the small blind and big blind Wongwichit called. At the flop 5♣ 9♠ 10♠, Liu bet 48k and it was called. On the A♣ turn, he fired out 150k, and this time Wongwichit surrendered. This has been the trend at his table.
Several hands after, he entered a pot against Hye Keun Park taking in another 80k to add to his massive artillery.
Catching the action on the flop 4♣ J♦ 6♥, bb Wang Meng checked, Piet Pape bet 20k, Meng raised to 45k, Pape called. On the K♣ turn, Meng bet 40k and Pape called. On the river 7♠, Meng bet 75k, Pape shoved his 311k stack. Meng called. Pape turned over two pair with J♣ 7♣ and had Meng’s 4♠ 6♦ two pair dominated.
Pape now above average with 840k. Meng dropped to 570k.
With action folding to the button Wang Meng, he raised to 35k. Evgeny Kurilenko on the small blind three-bet to 108k, big blind folded, then Meng answered with a four-bet to 240k. Kurilenko folded. Meng now up to 975k.
Action kicked off with a raise of 35k by Hung Sheng Lin on the button. Big blind Phachara Wongwichit called and saw the flop land 10♥ J♣ 9♣. Both players checked for a free look at the turn 7♦. Wongwichit bet 40k and Hung called. On the 6♦ river, Wongwichit banged out a 133k bet. Hung called after the clock was called. Wongwichit won with 10♣ 8♠ straight. Hung mucked. Wongwichit up to 570k.
The biggest takedown of the day has just taken place with Evgeny Kurilenko denying two players a Final 8 berth. One of them was big stacked Yoichi Uesugi. Action began with utg Sony Liang Liang all in, Uesugi shoving from utg+1, then cutoff Kurilenko with his monster stack joining the party.

Phachara Wongwichit and Hele Liu battled twice in back-to-back hands. The first one saw Liu raise from the button and Wonwichit called on the big blind. At the flop 6♥ J♣ 10♥, Wongwichit check-called a bet by Liu. On the 10♣ turn, both players checked. Then on the Q♥ river, Wongwichit slid out 57k and Liu called. Wongwichit won the pot with K♠ 9♥ straight.
This hand was followed by another raise by Liu to 24k. Wongwichit called from the small blind. At the flop Q♠ 5♠ 5♦, Wongwichit check-called a 30k bet. On the A♣ turn, Wongwichit checked, Liu continued with a 82k bet, and this time he claimed the pot with Wongwichit surrendering his hand.
Lee Chin Yong went down in two quick hands. He shoved from the hijack position with 4♥ 4♣ and bb Suzuki Takuya called putting himself at risk. Takuya had A♥ A♣. The board bricked and Takuya doubled up.
The next hand Yong shoved again and the big blind Hye Keun Park called with slightly more chips. Yong had A♥ 4♠ and Park with A♦ Q♥. The board threw blanks again and with that Yong was eliminated.
Wang Jun may not be tearing the table apart with massive takedowns but he is grinding well for his keep. He recently claimed two pots. The first one saw a raise by Hung Sheng Lin on the button, Wang Jun called on the big blind. At the flop 8♥ 9♣ 4♣, no bets came. The turn 7♠ saw Jun lead out a 20k bet and won the pot with Hung folding.
Immediately after, Hung raised to 25k from the cutoff, Jun called from the sb seat and Phachara Wongwichit on the bb. At the flop K♠ 7♣ 6♥, all checked. On the 7♥ turn, Jun checked, Wonwichit bet 27k, Hung folded, and Jun called. On the 10♥ river, no bets landed and Jun won with K♣ 9♣. He now has around 780k.
