With a nice splash of chips swimming in the middle and a turn board 3♣ Q♥ J♥ 9♣, Graham Cowan checked, Masaru Mukai bet, then Cowan jammed. Masaru called.

The river 7♦ were not one of the numerous out Cowan neeeded. He dropped to 25k and busted shortly after. Masaru rose to above average. He now has 220k.
There has been a change in leadership… Russia’s Evgeny Kurilenko is now at 555k while Wang Meng is down to 385k. Both players are seated at the same table.
Zhang Chen Xu is the last female in the running and she’s been holding up well despite a momentary dip in chips. Coming in with under average stack she went head-to-head against Dong Zhao and lost the bout. Zhang had A♠ Q♥ dominated by A♦ K♦ the whole ride.
Falling to 55k, we checked back on Zhang 20 minutes later and she was back up and more sitting with 160k. We stuck around to see her bring that up to 230k in a hand against Quiwen Liang.
Zhang raised to 9500 from mid position and button Liang called. At the flop 6♥ 8♣ 8♠, she c-bet 9k and Liang called. On the 5♦ turn, she switched up, checking to Liang who bet 17k. Zhang flat-called. On the A♦ river, she led out again with a 30k bet and was called. She showed A♥ 9♥. Liang mucked.
Running alongside the main is the final table of the No Limit Hold’em 1 event. We will have the results for you once it concludes. There are 7 players remaining.
Raiden Kan came in with a very healthy stack just slightly under average but within the first 15 minutes, he was booted out of the running by big stacked Wang Jun. We missed the action but it was loosely explained…
On a turn board of 10-2-3-5, Kan and Jun were all in. Kan had Q-Q and Jun with 6-4. The river was a blank and Jun’s nuts straight shipped it. Jun now up to 325k.
As expected, within minutes of the starting gun, it was a shove fest with short stacks trying to get a boost. Here are the first bust outs of the day:
