Dang Van Hien is clearly dusting the field here. He just railed Kilian Loeffler and immediately went back to work claiming another pot. Action began with Choong Kian Weng raising to 54k, Dang three-betting to 130k, and Weng called.
On the flop K♥ A♦ 10♦, Dang slid out 110k and Weng folded. Dang now over 2.1M in chips and is the massive chip leader.
Kilian Loeffler entered the Final 8 as the chip leader but it would not be his title to take home as he has just been sent packing in 8th place by Dang Van Hien. What did it for him was one of those unavoidable hands. He raised to 48k, Saul Oliver called, Dang three-bet to 130k, Loeffler shoved, Oliver folded, and snap call by the leader Dang.

Hajime Iwakura just earned another good pot in this level to bring him to a little over average stack. Action began with Peng Fei Liu raising to 45k then Iwakura three-bet to 90k. Peng called.
On the flop of 5♣ 10♠ 9♠, Iwakura continued and fired out a 120k bet. Peng folded.
With a short stack in front of him, all Shravan Chhabria can really do is shove which he has done several times. He shoved again here and still no callers. He showed his pocket fives. He is up to 270k.
Saul Oliver is sitting on an average stack having lost a good amount of chips on the two earlier levels. He just won a small one to beef it up a bit. He raised to 44k preflop and got called by Dang Van Hien.
At the flop of 8♣ 8♦ 2♥, it was check-check. On the 3♦ turn, Oliver bet and Dang quickly folded.
Shravan Chhabria is still sitting with a very short stack with no one taking the bait on his shoves. He just won the blinds and antes to bring him over 200k.
Just like he did at the start of the day, Hajime Iwakura started off this new level by winning the pot. He called a raise to 54k from Choong Kian Weng and off to the flop they went Q♥ Q♠ A♠. Weng bet 82k and Iwakura check-called. On the 10♣ turn they checked but on the 7♦ river, Iwakura led out for 100k and that was good for the takedown with Weng folding up.
Iwakura over 600k.
Two levels have gone by and we are still at 8 players. Here are the chip counts at the first break of the day.

Saul Oliver 740K
Choong Kian Weng 1.6M
Kilian Loeffler 600K
Hajime Iwakura 426K
Peng Fei Liu 740K
Shravan Chhabria 160K

Dang Van Hien and Saul Oliver got involved in two consecutive hands. On the first one, Dang fired out a 60k raise and only Oliver called. At the flop 3♣ 3♥ 9♥, Oliver check-called an 84k bet. Then on the turn A♥ and river A♠ no more bets were laid out. Oliver showed his 2♦ 9♦ two pair and won the pot.
The subsequent hand saw Dang raise again, this time to 40k and Oliver called. At the 4♦ 2♠ 6♠ flop, Dang bet 70k and that was it for that hand as the players left to go on break.
