Shota Masuda will not be joining tomorrow’s Final 8 with chip leader Paul Hong sending him pacing in 9th place. Masuda was all in with 7♦ 7♥ and Hong had two drawing overcards A♠ K♦. The board ran 8♥ 8♣ A♥ 3♦ K♥ for a higher two pair to Hong and 9th place to Masuda. He earned KRW 3,900,000 for his deep run.
Kosei Ichinose will not be advancing to the final day having just been railed by Jason Sun. His final hand saw Sun raise to 60k from the cutoff, Ichinose all in for close to 200k, and Sun tossing in the call.

The board ran J♦ 9♣ 6♠ K♦ 8♦ for a straight to Sun and 10th place to Ichinose. Ichinose earned RW 3,348,000 for his deep finish.
Okabe Shoei shoved his 168k short stack on the button and Kosei Ichinose called on the big blind. Shoei had 8♦ 8♥, Ichinose with A♥ 2♦, the board bricked for a double up to Shoei. Shoei nears 400k, Ichinose around 200k.
The hand kicked off with Paul Hong raising to 44k, called by both blinds Masaki Fujitani and Jinwoo Kim. At the flop K♦ 6♠ 5♥, the blinds checked, Hong bet 55k, and was called by both blinds. On the Q♣ turn, no bets landed, but on the river 7♦, Fujitani led for 92k, Kim raised to 255k, Hong folded, and Fujitani called.

Paul Hong has now climbed to 2m and is the chip leader after winning two sizable pots. The first one was against Teruhisa Aoyama who raised to 50k from the utg seat. Hong defended on the big blind. On the flop 9♦ 5♥ 6♥, both checked. On the 6♣ turn, Hong bet 60k and Aoyama called. On the river 8♦, Hong sent out a towering 180k bet and once again got the call. Hong showed 10♦ 10♥ and won the pot with Aoyama mucking.
Next winning hand, Hong had full house with J♦ 9♥ against Hyun Kyu Bae on a board of 9♦ Q♣ Q♦ A♣ 9♣.
In a battle of the blinds, Kosei Ichinose limped in and Fujitani checked. The flop ran 6s} 2♣ 2♦ with bets fired and called. On the K♠ turn, Ichinose bet 90k, Fujitani called. On the river X? no bets came, Ichinose showed 6-5 and Fujitani had him with K-4. Ichinose down to 690k, Fujitani goes over a million.
Fokin Valeriy enjoyed a rise in chips a couple of levels back but could not hold on to it. He was dealt his last hand, shoving with A♣ 7♦ and Paul Hong calling with 7♣ 7♠. The board bricked and Valeiry was out 11th. He earned KRW 3,348,000 for his deep run.
