Shota Masuda shoves twice and no callers

Shota Masuda’s stack has been swinging but his short stack is still a force to reckon with. He recently shoved back-to-back. He now has 400K.


Paul Hong into the million range

Level: 20 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Paul Hong has joined the million men crossing the seven-digit mark at his table. It took two hands to do so. First hand, he raised to 35k and was called by Okabe Shoei. At the flop J 9 K, Hong bet 55k and was called only by Shoei. On the 6 turn, both checked, but on the Q river, Hong fired again. This time he led for 130k. Shoei called. Hong showed K 10 for a straight. Shoei mucked and dropped down to 450k.

Next hand saw Hong raise to 35k, Teruhisa Aoyama three-bet to 98k, Hong four-bet to 220k, and that was it. He won it with Aoyama folding. Hong jumps to 1.2M.


Massive pot for Teruhisa Aoyama vs Shota Masuda

Level: 20 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Shota Masuda vs Teruhisa Aoyama

Unfortunately we missed the action in this hand but it was between Teruhisa Aoyama and Masuda Shota. Catching it only on a full board 3 J 8 5 6, Aoyama shoved with 420k. Masuda folded. A couple of hands after Aoyama won another pot against Masuda to bring him up to 800K.


Jason Sun doubles up through Fujitani

Level: 20 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Jason Sun had A A and Masaki Fujitani with J K. With aces cracked a couple of times at the same felt, Sun seemed tense. The board was kind this time running 3 6 J 6 A to award him a double up.


Lei Chen railed in 12th place – KRW 2,874,000

Level: 20 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

Lei Chen moved all in with J J and Hyun Kyu Bae called with A J. The board ran 3 6 9 A 2. Chen earned KRW 2,874,000 for his deep finish.


Masaki Fujitani vs Hyun Kyu Bae

Level: 20 Blinds: 8000-16000 Ante: 2000

We haven’t had any reports on Masaki Fujitani but he has driven his stack to a million with numerous successful grinds. Within a span of ten minutes, he lost quite a bit of it dropping to around 700K in hands against Hyun Kyu Bae.

The first pot saw a flop 5 9 5 and a raised pot brewed prior. Fujitani checked, Hyun bet 65k, Fujitani called. On the 6 turn, both checked. On the Q river, Fujitani led for 100k and Hyun called. Fujitani had A 2 missed draw and Hyun took the pot with 10 10.

Fujitani took some back on the next round against Hyun who raised to 24k, Lei Chen called, Fujitani three-bet to 87k, and everyone folded. On the third encounter, Hyun exposed a Fujitani bluff once again who had K-5 air to Hyun’s trip eights.


Kosei Ichinose ascends to 1M

Level: 19 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Kosei Ichinose continues to his ascent here at the final 12 players. Having chipped up to near average in two double ups, he is now into a million chips having won two big pots once again.

Against Hyun Kyu Bae, it was all in preflop. Hyun with K K, Ichinose with A Q. The board ran 10 A 7 5 2 for a double up to Ichinose. This brought him up to around 800k.

Kosei Ichinose vs Jinwoo Kim

Next hand, he raised to 25k, Kim three-bet to 85k, Ichinose called. On the flop 5 K 9 both checked, On the 4 turn, Ichinose bet 72k and Kim called. On the 2 river, Ichinose fired out 210k, and won it with no call from Kim.


Sachiko Harima bows out in 13th place – KRW 2,874,000

Level: 19 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Ever since Sachiko Harima’s aces were cracked by Hyun Kyu Bae, she has been sitting with one of the shortest stacks. Though still playable of nearly 20bbs, she decided to push it all in with 9 9 but ran right into Roman Shcherbakov’s K K. The board bricked and the lone female in the field bowed out in 13th place. She earned KRW 2,874,000 for her deep finish.


Two double ups to Kosei Ichinose, cracks Hyun’s aces

Level: 19 Blinds: 6000-12000 Ante: 2000

Kosei Ichinose is nearing the average stack of 653K after landing two double ups. His first double up was against Jason Sun with A-7 landing top pair. A few hands after, he was all in with J-J against Hyun Kyu Bae’s A-A and improved to a set with the board running 5-9-J-10-2. Ichinose now has 590K.

On a separate note, Hyun wasn’t too happy with the result with his aces cracked but he did do the same to Sachiko Harima at the previous level.
