Iori Yogo is creating a sizable distance between him and the rest. He is now up to 1.6M after this pot. Daiki Horikawa raised to 35k, both Yogo and bb Tsubasa Kamei called. On the flop J 5 7, Kamei checked, Horikawa checked, Yogo bet 75k, Kamei raised to 150k, Horikawa folded, Yogo three-bet to 300k, and after tanking, Kamei folded. Kamei down to 925k.

Shiga Mitsuhiro has been shoving quite a bit since the start of the day and no one took on the challenge. Not this round though. Iori Yogo raised to 35k, then called Mitsuhiro’s shove.

The flop ran 3 9 7 keeping Mitsuhiro ahead but with the turn K, Yogo spiked a four-outer to overtake with a higher pair. The river 7 ended the hand and Mitsuhiro fell in 7th place. He earned ₩6,522,000 for his deep run at the Main Event.

Yosuke Murata takes from Iori Yogo

With action folding to the blinds, Iori Yogo raised to 37k only to get popped by Yosuke Murata to 80k. Yogo called and the flop ran 9 6 K. Yogo checked, Murata c-bet 75k, and Yogo folded. Murata at 550k.


Toshimasa Sakato exits in 8th place – ₩5,395,000

After losing an earlier pot to Daiki Horikawa, Toshimasa Sakato dropped to 10bbs and pushed it all in with 6 6. He was up against Tomoharu Furuya with A 9. The board ran 8 10 10 9 J to send Sakato out of the Main Event in 8th place.

iori Yogo picked up two pots to send his stack up to 1M. On the first pot, he raised to 25k and got called by both blinds, Shiga Mitsuhiro and Stu Terakwa. The flop came A 4 Q, Yogo bet 40k and got check-called by sb Mitsuhiro. On the 9 turn, Yogo c-bet 80k and won it with no caller.

Next winning hand was against Daiki Horikawa. Yogo defended his big blind by calling the 25k raise. At the flop and turn 10 7 5 9, both checked but on the 3 river, Yogo bet 35k, Horikawa called, and Yogo won with 7 4 pair.


Toshimasa Sakato’s bluff exposed

Defending from the big blind, Toshimasa Sakato called Daiki Horikawa’s raise to see a flop 5 Q K. No bets came and the turn landed 3. Saktao took a stab with a 25k bet that Horikawa quickly called. On the 5 river, Sakato fired out 50k, and again a fast call from Horikawa. Sakato turned over 10-8 bluff; Horikawa won with K-9 top pair. Sakato down to 125k.
