Another player is on the rise, Tamon Nakamura. He shipped in two big pots to bring him at par with the leader Hideki Izutsu. The first pot he won was against Lam Cheuk Nam. On a flop 8♦ Q♣ 8♣, Lam bet 27k and Nakamura called. On the turn 10♣ action was the same with Nakamura calling a 70k bet. On the Q♠ river, both checked and Nakamura took it with 6♣ 5♣. Lam showed A♣.
On the very next hand Nakamura was up against Izutsu. The flop was 3♦ 2♦ K♥, Izutsu bet 20k, Naoki Morita folded, and Nakamura check-called. On the J♣ turn, check check, then on the 10♠ river, Izutsu bet 35k and again Nakamura check-called. Izutsu mucked and the pot was shipped to Nakamura without having to show.
Nakamura up to around 560k. Izutsu also with around 560k.
