Jacky Wong three-bet all in with 37.5k remaining and initial raiser Hiroshi Nishiyama called. Wong had 5♦ 5♥, Nishiyama with A♣ Q♠, the board bricked to double up Wong.
Ever since Tatsuya Hirose was saved from elimination by cracking Preston Lee’s aces with kings, he has been attacking the felt and with much success. We caught him pick up two pots, one against Masato Shimizu. The board showed K♣ 4♦ 6♥ Q♠ 2♦ and 52k already brewed. Hirose bet 25k and won it with Shimizu folding.
Next one was against Hyunil Hong. On a raised pot preflop, the flop landed 5♥ 4♥ 8♦. Hirose check-called Hong’s 10k bet. On the J♠ turn, both checked. Then on the 7♣ river, Hirose led for just 10k and won it with Hong folding.
Hirose climbed to 245k.
Short-stacked Pete Chen doubled up with K-4 both pairing up on the board against a player’s 3-3 but his stack was still very low. He moved all in on the next hand with his 16.5k, Kosaku Akashi joined in with his remaining 17k, and initial raiser Kentaro Somekawa called for a three-way showdown.

Tatsuya Hirose breathed a sigh of relief after having to hold his breath in a cooler against chip leader Preston Lee. It began with heavy betting preflop.
